Texans vs Vikings
#1
One thing I've noticed the last few seasons; The NFL doesn't understand the fans perspective. They schedule preseason games 3 hours apart. And as usual, the game before ours is delayed and the final 4 minutes last 30 minutes and go into our time.

Rondale Moore injured the first time he touched the ball. Lucky Jackson made the roster.

Jud zulgad speculated Moore might not make final roster due to right knee injuryc last year.

Xavier Scott looks like a guy who can take that RB3 spot. Really nice hands and vision running between the tackles. He gets up the field in a hurry.

Also Gabe Murphy looks like a player. Was hurt last year, but might be our next UDFA find.

Max Brosmer looked calm and efficient. Nice, accurate arm. For a rookie, his mannerisms look like a vet.

Team looked solid!

I liked the first drive from the offense quite a bit. JJ had some throws that maybe weren’t perfect but were close enough to it that Addison and others could get it (Mason not so much). And we saw the wheels!

Reichard looked good too.

I think Brosmer earned a shot against better talent next week. Scott should also get reps against a better D to see what he's got as well.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

I've been talking Brosmer up a bit so far this camp and he's a cool customer. Stout, dense build and a serviceable arm, throws a tight spiral which helps with accuracy. Howell showed up so I'd give strong consideration for Max to be QB3. Nothing personal against Rypien but who needs a 29 year old QB3 with a noodle arm? Some fans online calling for Max to be QB2, lol....slow your roll. Let the kid breath the air.

But its your typical preseason game: mostly garbage. Some flashes from some guys, but not sure what it means. Good for the new young guys to get a taste of U.S. Bank stadium. The rest of preseason will play even less starters as its all about health for the next two games, but I can see guys like Howell and Brosmer gaining some important reps in the offense. Uneventful night for JJ which is completely fine with me. Lots of hyperbole running rampant on Twitter, but what else is new? Want to see some truly bad throws? Check out some of the highlights from even vet QBs....everyone has some rust and many are learning. Tis the season.

Players who impressed.

1. Zavier Scott. I know nothing about this guy. But he could be the reason the Vikings surprised everyone by not taking a back in the draft. I'll have to look into his background, but he really looked good.

2. Max Brosmer. Looks like he can play. Good pocket awareness and arm talent. I think he's QB3.

3. Sam Howell. His experience and arm strength were on display. I'm still not convinced this is our QB2, but I feel better about it.

4. Gabe Murphy. He's been flashing in the clips I've seen from camp. Had a great game yesterday with 1.5 sacks, 5 QB hits and 4 pressures

5. Jordan Addison. You can't tell me Jordan wouldn't be WR1 on a handful of NFL teams. I've seen better accuracy from McCarthy, but with Addison you only have to be close. He catches everything.

Really saddened by Moore's injury. With everything he went through to make it back, to see him suffer a season-ender on his very first touch is like some kind of cruel joke.
