He came back out after doing some stretching in the groin area. Smacks of tightness, a cramp or maybe a pull.

Groin strain. Sounds like it could be at least 1-2 weeks, was walking off very slowly with trainers.

Sigh. Man Hock is a guy that can't stay healthy. And Jefferson either really. Hopefully everything is fine with both in 3 weeks. Its only August 3rd.

Loved the trade at the time and he started off great here, but since then he can't stay on the field and he is not the same player. Drops a lot of passes and one of the least physical TEs I have seen, typically goes down on contact, does not fight for extra yardage. Was hoping for an impact TE in the draft, the film on the one we took looked great, but looks like he may not be able to get on field as well.

Like I've said before, I'm not going lose a minute of sleep over minor dings like this. This type of injury happens every week to every team. It's the season-enders that keep me up at night. Jackson (RIP), McCarthy, Blackmon and Darrisaw last year, Cousins the year before. If we can get out of training camp without one of those, I'll be a happy man.

I had a groin pull (more like a 'pop') a year ago...the horse I was on took a tumble. It took over six months for it to be completely healed. I'll never call any groin injury a minor deal.

I had a serious one my senior year in HS. Cost me my DE position and I had to work back as offensive guard because my lateral movement wasn't strong. Took quite a while to heal fully and messed my back up in the process.
But that was because I ignored the twinge and kept playing. Hopefully TJ caught it at the twinge, and will get it healthy before regular season.

T.J. practiced yesterday, full pads, no apparent limitations.
