WR Rondale Moore visiting with Minnesota
#21
Welp, I'd say we weren't giving him a great amount of money on a contract.

The good news is he wasn’t trapped under a couch cushion.

This is going to turn out to be a very underrated signing. I mentioned it before, he's going to get some plays in this offense. He looked fast on yesterday's TC highlights, I think MB mentioned it as well. He's going to draw coverage away from JJ and Addison when they put him in motion pre-snap. He's like lightning when healthy and he's a dawg. Feisty and stronger than his build. Former 2nd round pick and just turned 25 years old.

It’ll be interesting to see who ends up getting the most WR3 snaps. Obviously, we’re in the time period where everyone looks great, but I can’t imagine they’ll be evenly splitting the WR snaps after JJ and Addison, so someone’s going to be getting the bulk of those snaps.

There's no doubt in my mind that will be Nailor. I think Moore will be WR4 and be used in special packages all over the field, even in the backfield. I think that's how they figure to use Felton next year as well, after Moore blows up a little in this high-powered offense and moves on with a better contract in tow.

This is a good observation. Moore & Felton have the same skillset, get them the ball around the LOS & allow them to create YAC. Given that, can the team affford to keep both on the active roster? If not, it seems to me that Felton has the advantage by virtue of the team drafting him in the 3rd round. I don't see the team waiving Felton.

100% it will be Nailor, Moore will be used like a utility knife: WRer, RB in motion, screens, etc. He's a weapon and I'm sure KOC plans on spreading out the field for defenses as often as possible.

With the impending 3 game suspension for Addison, all these guys are going to get a big chance.  Between Nailor, Felton and Moore they are going to get their opportunities to solidify #3 and #4 spots.  I believe Tim Jones was signed as the replacement for Sherfield (Special Teams), so that may leave one spot at the bottom while Addison is on suspension.  When Addison comes back though, I believe one of those guys may be released, I hate to say it, just by situation, but that may be Moore.  Like it was said, very little chance Felton gets released being a 3rd round pick, Nailor is probably top dog for the 3 spot, so that leaves either Tim Jones or Moore to be cut (unless they keep 6 receivers which they have in the past).
