What's your favorite Vikings memory / why?
#1
1.  2009 Vikings at AZ.  Yeah we lost that game...along with EJ Henderson. But Sass had an incredible tailgate, mets lots of good PT folks...but most importantly it was the last game I watched with my dad before he was diagnosed / passed from cancer.
honestly nothing better than being with your family at a football game. Miss him, would give everything I have for five minutes with my folks again.

runner up

2.  1986-1987 season at Rams in Anaheim.  Wade Wilson hits Hassan Jones to win the game in the closing seconds.  I was getting razzed all game (as usual, because I go to west coast away games). With a minute left some smart ass says "better luck net time"
and the Rams fans all laughed.  Wilson hits Jones for the game winner and you could hear a collective groan from the home crowd.

that was the last game before the four game players strike.

what say you VikeFans?

Not in any particular order, and certainly not exhaustive after 45 years of fandom:

1970's Vikings playing in any NFC Championship Game
AC vs 49'ers in playoff's
A young Keith Millard playing
2009 SNF Vikings vs Packers
2009 NFC Divisional Game: Vikings vs Cowboys
2016 USB opener: Vikings vs Packers
Final Game @Metrodump: Vikes vs Lions
First Game @ Metrodump: Vikes vs Seahawks
Favre to Lewis 2009 vs 49'ers
Being able to watch Alan Page play live and up-close @ a Vikings Game
Watching AP as a rook taking a swing-pass 60 yards for a TD
1998 Vikings vs Cardinals Divisional Playoff game
Randy Moss' 1st home game vs Bucs: 2 td's

Wasn't that the one where Bobby Bryant caught it on the bounce and ran it back for a TD?

Probably the first game I ever went to at the old Met vs the 49ers.  Bob Lee started for an injured Tark, and was absolutely horrible.  Vikes were getting beat on both sides of the ball, and finally Bud listened to the "Boos" each time Lee was sent on the field and put in the Rook Tommy Kramer to start the 4th.  The team was down 24-7, but TK slinged 3 TDs and the Vikes win 28-27!  B)

Awesome game, and most of the frozen fans (Dec game) actually left before TK came in.  Not us though!

Excellent selection...my favorites include the Moss eats Cowboys on Thanksgiving game; Favre to Lewis v 49's and despite the playoff loss, the 2009 season; Vikes v Puke "Moss-moon" playoff game; the two games I've seen against the Puke (both wins), one at Lame-bo and the other at Milwaukee County Stadium in 9'2 and '93.
Sigh...stop me before I reminisce again! Wink

Mine was opening day, 1998.  I took my son to the game and we saw Randy Moss for the first time, with two long TD receptions against the Bucs.  It was a special father-son bonding time and I'll always remember our collective smiles that day, knowing we had something really special.  Close behind was our blowout of the Cowboys in the playoffs where all three of my sons and I got to watch Favre play with the Cowboys from beginning to end.

My 2nd son was born on a Sunday, October 11th 2009. My wife went in late Saturday night; doctors thought he'd be delivered by noon.

The Vikings took on the Rams; Brett Favre our QB. The baby didnt come until 3:15. I really dont remember much of the game, other than Favre ripped them apart and we crushed them. And I jokingly said the ass kicking was part of the Le Maz stress reduction plan... lol!

Great topic Vanguard

I have been to a 3 games, so they all rank up there.

1. The best was the year Jeff George replaced the struggling Cunningham.  I think it was Jeff's first game as a starter and they pounded the snot out of the 49ers.  Flew to MN to meet my brother and his kids.  He said he had a line on some tickets and then that fell through.  So we are walking around before the game looking for tickets.  Since RC was sucking, there were some available but not all together.  So I sat with one of my nephews and watched a great game by George.

2. Took my kids to Seattle with some nosebleed seats.  AD ripped off a big run early and it looked like it was going to be a good day.  Until Harvin fumbled and got hurt and the game went south in a hurry.

3. back in 1990 some friends and I road tripped, slept on couches and went to a game.  We lost to the putrid bucaneers but it was a great trip.

Watching:  The 2009 dismantling of the Cowboys in the playoffs.  AD's magical season where we beat the packers to make the playoffs.
