Grew up in rural Michigan, always had fireworks at home on the 4th, people over, etc. Went to see fireworks displays that cities put on, etc. I can take them or leave them honestly as an older adult now (mostly leave them), but damn do the dogs and cats HATE them. We are dog sitting for some friends that went to Charleston for the weekend, so we have our dog and theirs and they were scared shitless last night. LONG night. Where I live is really city-lite as the downtown area of Boca is smaller and a lot calmer than say Delray Beach, etc. Doesn't stop some neighbors in our hood from buying the loudest, most intense fireworks that humans can make...its like insane that the police allow it. Concussive bangs.
Needless to say the dogs will be shooting mud for the next day and a half....poor things, their nerves are shot. Guess I'm getting older and somewhat fuddy duddy on this but god damn people....you don't live out in the country or rural. Rant over.

I’ve been pretty fortunate to have dogs that don’t have an issue with fireworks. That has to be rough. When we lived in St Pete people had them going off until 3am which is just so fucking inconsiderate. One of several reasons why I typically hate our species.

We had pugs many years ago and they didnt react well to the fireworks - at all.
Over the years, our Labs pretty much snore through them, but our other guy (Walter who's a mutt) doesnt like em at all. Luckily we live in a neighborhood where they're pretty much over by 10:30/11.
Have you considered something like this?
Choosing a CBD product
Was the hemp grown organically?
How was the CBD extracted? The recommended method uses super critical carbon dioxide.
Has the product been evaluated by an independent company? Analysis should confirm a lack of heavy-metal contamination and minimal THC levels.

You go through such hardships as an American. Maybe move somewhere where they don’t allow fireworks.

Thundershirts are supposed to work well.

Believe it or not, we've got him a prescription of Xanax, lol. But he blows past its effects in a thunderstorm or fireworks, so we stopped giving it to him. Tried thundershirt.....unfortunately nothing. It is what it is.

Maybe go protest about it? I mean all this shit you have to go through. My god, I feel horrible for your dog on Xanax.
