Joe Kapp was my absolute favorite Vikings hero when I was a kid. His "wounded duck" completions, he wasn't pretty, but he had that competitive fire that no other Vikings QB before or since. I was so devastated when he got into a contract scuffle after that '69 season...the magic was gone.
