This not guilty strategy is a bit hard for me to understand..
Before last year’s training camp, Addison was found asleep behind the wheel of his car on a highway near the Los Angeles Airport, where his vehicle was blocking traffic. A test showed him to be over the legal limit, leading to the DUI charges. Addison has pleaded not guilty, and now he has a jury trial set for about a month from now. Regardless of whether Addison is found guilty or not, the NFL could still suspend him for the start of the 2025 season. The word that has been going around is that the suspension could be for up to three games, which means that Addison might not be eligible to play until the team makes their trip overseas for their back-to-back contests in the United Kingdom.

Speedy will be a really nice WR2 in Addison's absence. KOC can utilize that trio situationally to give defense's some problems until Addison returns.

But the legal strategies being executed by JA's lawyers still eludes me in the interim,

I’m not a lawyer or anything close, but if you have the money, why would you ever plead guilty? Make them show up and prove their case. Negotiate with prosecutor, get the charges lowered to something else.

But the legal strategies being executed by JA's lawyers still eludes me in the interim, I read that he was at 0.8 when tested. A good (expensive) lawyer can probably try to argue that the alcohol hadn't fully absorbed into his bloodstream when he was driving and he did the right thing by pulling over when he started to feel it instead of being on the road. Not sure it's a winning argument...but it's an argument. You can maybe argue the ticket down to a wreckless driving...and maybe avoid suspension that way. Addison still has some growing up to do. I'm not sure why ANY NFL player drives themselves home after they've been drinking with the availability of ride services. I think I read the NFL even pays for it to keep up their image.

The free ride probably doesn't go fast enough. You know, that need for speed thing...

Too bad that fake posting about Addison donating $20 million to charity wasn't real. He coulda used that as a "I've rehabilitated, your honor, see?"

I am thinking it's a 3-4 game suspension for him
