Great to hear some positive evaluation on Zemaiah Vaughn, they could really use some good fortune in finding a legit CB

Good to see Darrisaw, but he's got a long way to go. Looks out of shape and moving stiffly. Odds are very, very low he'll be playing in Game 1, but I'm sure they'll dial in his timeframe of exactly when he'll play toward the end of training camp in August. Don't expect the same ol' Darrisaw until 2026.

Great to see him on the field, but a bit sobering to actually see where he's at currently.

6'3", 190+ lbs. and ran a 4.46. Raw but damn that would be such a welcome surprise. Still very early, but like you say the team could use a little good luck at this position.

I agree. Most guys not named Adrian Peterson need 1-2 years to really get back to what they were before the injury. Darrisaw's surgery was early November. It wouldn't surprise me if he misses some time early this season since initial recovery time is typically 9-12 months.

...and Will Fries hasn't practiced and is still recovering. Not trying to be a Debby Downer here, but this O-line is going to be a work in progress until probably mid-October. And the Viking's schedule is relentless. This is why this talk of a Superbowl caliber football team is premature. On paper it looks very good, but when you do a deeper dive, you can see that patience will be needed by the fan base. And oh yeah, a redshirt freshman QB who opens his NFL career on the road against a NFCN rival on MNF.

I think September is going to be a cold splash of reality to a decent portion of the fanbase. This will be a team on the come hopefully, charging late to the finish line to get a playoff spot. This is no juggernaut early, too many new faces and recovering important pieces.

Flores sure loves 'em skinny. Vaugh: 6-2, 186; Rodgers, 5-10, 170; Blackmon: 5-11, 178; McGlothern: 6-2, 185; Khyrees Jackson: 6-4, 190.

Mr Mankato candidate? Can we even call it that anymore?

Has to be WAY more obscure than a 3rd round draft pick.....usually UDFA. Vaughn might be a good candidate. If I remember correctly, its usually some obscure UDFA that gets fans lathered up in TC and then doesn't even make the final roster. I think it started to change a little toward the end of the run of the term, I think Thielen got that moniker? Can't fully remember.
