Jaire Alexander will be a Minnesota Viking by the end of the week. It makes too much sense
Tyler Forness@TheRealForno
Think about it
-If Jaire is washed, the Vikings love signing the most washed CB
-If he’s got something left, the medical staff will keep him healthy
Plus, Jaire is likely to want to play his former team twice a year on a team that needs CB help. Welcome to Minnesota

probably not a bold take, but i absolutely endorse the Vikings free-agent pursuit of Jaire Alexander. Would be the cake-topper of the offseason, and won't cost any draft picks, like Jalen Ramsey, for example, would via trade. Go get em

If he could be gotten very cheaply, the medical staff find him worth a shot, and he's got legitimate fuel left in the tank...go for it.
BUT...I'm mostly interested in the medical staff's opinion, tied with Flores'. Looking 'logical' ain't the same thing as attaining a good corner.
OK, KOC, time for that miracle....

Be kind of serendipitous if Jaire is the post-prime, coming off an injury, ex-Packer great we sign this offseason. I'd much prefer Alexander over the other guy.

If Miami can't find a trading partner for Ramsey and decide to release him, I'd take him every day of the week over Alexander. He'd be a helluva lot cheaper, has considerably less of an injury history, and at this point in his career can play a hybrid CB/S role which I'm sure Flores would love.

Pettine obviously is very knowledgable of him so we'll see if Minnesota has any interest. He's super cocky and a big talker, not sure he fits into the culture or not....maybe he would. And he won't come cheap. But healthy there is zero doubt he'd help the Vikings in 2025. Ramsey is going to be 31 years old in October and has already played for 3 teams. I'd rather not give up comp for Ramsey and like the idea of just money for Alexander. Ideally in a perfect world, I'd pass on both but I think cornerback is currently the team's weak spot.

I wouldn't give up any comp for Ramsey either. There is a good possibility that Miami doesn't find a trading partner and just outright releases him, but I believe they're still on the hook for his salary this year so he wouldn't be as expensive as Alexander might be. He hasn't missed many games in the last 5 years compared to Alexander, and factor that he played in LA while KOC was there so there is some familiarity.
Honestly, I'd pass on both as well but the DB depth (especially CB) does have me a bit worried.
