Why? What in the last game did you see regarding Boone's play that makes you say this? It's all I was reading yesterday, so last night I watched every one of his plays in slow-mo and he was probably our best linemen of the starting unit. It was our right side that got destroyed. He didn't give up a pressure, sack or TFL. His guy never touched the QB, nor was he ever pushed back into the QB. The QB was pushed into him though. He did miss one downfield block on a running play, but that's going to happen from time to time when you pit an OL guy against a LB, S or CB. Even on his missed block, his guy didn't make a difference with the result of the play. I get that some people don't like his mouth, but there is absolutely nothing from this game that anyone can pin on him or blame him for. If you want to unleash some venom, I suggest doing so on the right side of the line. Remmers was brutal, Berger a step better than brutal, whatever that is.

I think Boone is average, which is pretty good on our OL and you are right, replacing him is far from a priority. If he would control his loud mouth, people would forget about Boone (which is what an offensive lineman should strive for). But we have to remember that he was brought here in part because Sparano thought his attitude would motivate other linemen, specifically Kalil.
Also true about Remmers - he is making the Andre Smith signing look brilliant in comparison.

I agree on the right side, I am appreciative of Berger history and his flexibility, but he is not a starter at G. Remmers is a pride pill that Spielman needs to swallow pretty quickly.
However Boones deficiencies IMO arent really in pass pro, its in the run game, he get almost no push on his own, and often is the source of inside pressure that blows up run plays. I agree with those saying he needs to sit.

we cant settle for one or the other, Boone needs to be able to keep his man from making plays at or behind the LOS in the run game. If the center and RG get a push and Boone cant seal his side... the push on the right side all for naught. If hes the best weve got, so be it, but I want the best people out there no matter their vet status or salary paid.
I think Isidora will be taking over for Berger sooner than later. But looking at the tape, even though Remmers does suck, there seemed to be a ton of miscommunication between himself and Morgan (that looked all on Remmers) that caused the problems Sunday. Our OL still has a ton of kinks to work out, Bradford needs to learn pocket presence and how to step up, but it was pretty sad on sunday night.

as bad as our OL was last year I wonder if the coaches told him not to step up into the "pocket" because even if there was one, it wasnt likely going to be a smart place to head to. get to the top of his drop and get rid of the damn ball seemed to be the best course of action in terms of not dying on every snap. yes he will leave some plays on the field, but he will also live to fight another day. I have to think getting killed early in the game sunday likely had his internal clock set back to 2016 in terms of getting the ball out asap.
Bradford has NEVER climbed the pocket. Pocket presence and end of the game comeback ability has never been something Sleeves has had. It's why, although he has all the talent in the world, the guy has never been able to win. And its why guys like Teddy can have winning records despite less of a true arm, because they can make that less second play, have pocket awareness, etc... There is more to being a QB than just a "practice arm."
Although Bradpool only had 5 INTs last year, when he threw them cost us 3 games (Det, Det, and Was). The guy would be best if he was playing 7 on 7 and couldn't get hit.
