Falcons QB Kirk Cousins is not in attendance today for the team’s voluntary OTAs, HC Raheem Morris told reporters.

The first practice of #Falcons OTAs is now underway and Kirk Cousins is not on the field. Cousins has made clear he wants to play elsewhere in 2025.

Still hearing he is option B if Rodgers falls through in Pittsburgh. I actually think that would be a really nice fit for Cousins and I'm not so sure at this point in both careers that I wouldn't prefer Cousins to Rodgers anyways.

There's still some smoke out there for Rogers/Steelers...But yah, I might prefer KC at this point too, unless the $$/cap gap between the 2 of them is a big one.

I don't see that happening.  Def not Rodgers.  And every snap in TC that KC might take, is a snap away from our developmental backup QBs.

I was talking about Steelers, not Vikings. We're hopefully done shopping for QB's for a while, least starting ones Wink

I mean, is any team chomping at the bit to trade for Cousins after how he looked last year? I don't think so. He'll be 37 years old before the season starts and its not like he had Aaron Rodgers type physical ability, he's going to age in old white cornerback years which means the shit may have fallen off the table last year and won't get any better.

He'll be better another year out from the achillies surgery. Movement in the pocket or escapability have never been his game anyways, but you could just tell he wasn't right last season despite some good games early. I think both Rodgers and Cousins will be better players this season having had that extra time to heal.

You could be right. Just another interesting subplot to the season to keep an eye on.

I believe he had some shoulder issues last season as well.

I would take a chance on Cousins over Rodgers simply because Rodgers is a cancer and front runner.
