You know KOC said something that I think rings very true, he said "Organizations fail young quarterbacks more then young quarterbacks fail organizations." I remember thinking back to Tim Couch and then David Carr. Both going to disaster org's as first overall picks. I lived in Kentucky when Couch came out thinking that dude was going to be competing with Manning for years to come. He was smart, had the physical attributes and next thing you know...bust bust bust. Except Cleveland let him get the hell beat out of him. Same with Carr. 76 sacks in his first season? They never had a chance.
I can see exactly why Williams felt that way. Chicago has been a QB disaster for as long as I can remember. The only half ass decent QB I can think of in my life time (McMahon included) was Jay Cutler, and he was a disaster all in of himself. Maybe Ben Johnson turns the ship around, I mean hell we are all sitting here hoping to GOD that KOC can turn around the 60+ years of heartache and disaster for the Vikings and get them over the hump. I guess this is why in the middle of May we are all sitting around on a Vikings board eh?
