This is going to be a tough nut to crack. Just 'cuz its BFlo, I'll give it a 20% chance of working out. Athletically and physically, he's a NFL prototype at CB. But that and $5 will get you a Starbucks coffee.

I think this one's too far gone. You could point to all the injuries his first couple seasons and argue he missed important development time, but even when he was healthy he couldn't make an impact. I hear the Vikings might move him to safety, but then you read that was considered by Detroit, Atlanta AND Houston, and still nothing.
If BFlo turns Okudah's career around, he deserves COTY.

Honestly, 20% might be generous. Low risk high reward if you can unlock that potential.

The risk/reward and the overall potential are gonna be constant stories...but, especially after our last "CB whisperer" was a complete bust (Zimmer didn't get much from Waynes, Hughes, Dantzler, Boyd, and so on), I'm curious if BFlo and the team's lauded culture can bring players like this around.
With our CB room the one real area of question in this offseason, it'll obviously be the biggest story behind JJM's development.
Build on 14-3, take back the NFCN, break the ****ing curse. Simple.

Well, honestly if its less than 20%, you shouldn't really have signed him. Spend your money and efforts elsewhere. Its a long shot regardless but I don't think BFlo is into wasting his time. Its a guaranteed $2.3 million contract, so my guess is there's some hope there, small as it may be.

He came from Ohio State where their DL covered up a lot of potential issues. He was a technical cb with good enough athleticism (not great or exceptional). So effectively he was overdrafted as a slightly above average athlete with what was thought good technical skills. He struggled in his initial preseason (complaining about slipping - I think this is where the better wr's and having more pressure put on him was already showing he was not the qb the lions thought they drafted) The injury seemed to sap the athleticism he had and in my opinion he is in his current version, a slightly below average athlete for cb. The reaction times are slow, and he seems to get beat over the top regularly. There are some plays where he just seemed to give up. With B Flo's system, we could see an improvement, and also increased confidence and allow more of his natural skills to come out, but he will likely always be limited by the Achilles injury.

Okudah couldn't ask for a much better opportunity at this point in his career than the one he has here. Great coaching (imo) and a fairly open competition for playing time at a few spots in the secondary.
Harry, Gilmore, and P2 have all had good years recently for us and they aren't exactly peaking athletically either. This will probably be a Jalen Reagor sized nothingburger, but if the stars aligned that'd really be something.

His RAS was 8.97. Not elite but definitely better than just good enough or slightly above average. But the rest is spot on.
