Vikings Draft Predictions
#1
Vikings will try hard to trade down but will find no takers. They will, however, trade down from 97 into the 4th round, drawing a 4th rounder in return, and with multiple comp picks next year will trade a ’26 3rd rounder for a ’25 4th rounder, giving them three 4ths, hitting Kwesi’s target of 6 total picks.

I feel (supremely...modestly...not at all) confident that our 1st pick will be either Donovan Jackson, Tre Henderson or Derrick Harmon. I’ll go with Jackson. I think the compulsion to draft a player who can stand in for Darrisaw until he’s ready is real. I think Booker is a great intangible fit, but questionable scheme fit, that safety and running back can wait, and the Vikings intend to shore up CB with a veteran.

1.24 - Donovan Jackson, G/T (Alt: Derrick Harmon, DT or Tre Henderson, RB)
4a - Sai’vion Jones, DL (Alt: Demetrius Knight, LB)
4b - Jonas Sanker, S (Alt: Yahya Black, DL)
4c - Jeffrey Bassa, LB (Alt: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB)
5.139 - Brashard Smith, RB (Alt: Zah Frazier, CB, Bilhal Kone, CB)
6.187- Ben Yurosek, TE (Alt: Thomas Fidone II, TE )

Players the Vikings might pick early that will raise some eyebrows: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Carson Schwesinger, LB

Vikings post draft players: Willie Lampkin, Kalel Mullings, RB, Zion Childress, S, Bilhal Kone, CB, Nazir Stackhouse, NT, Max Brosmer, QB, Warren Brinson, DT, Jacob Bayer, IOL, Cody Lindenberg, LB, Chandler Brayboy, WR

Appreciate the effort...The only real consensus Ive seen out there is Harmon or Emmanwori...I have actually turned up my liking for Zabel, but 0 chance he's there at 24.

U already know how some of us feel about Robert Smith (Part Deuce) with the 25 Vikings.

they trade down, my only question is how far... A trade to 33 would be great and allow another trade to open the 2nd round.
People sleep peacably at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

I have no doubt they'll try...

Not at all confident is how I feel as well. Trading down doesn’t feel great unless they could pick up a lot of value in the process. Not super excited to drop 10 picks for a 3rd.

Gut feeling says we’ll go get a new LG. I think it’s the clearest path to a starter upgrade. Which one will be available? No idea, but I’d feel good about Zabel, Booker, or Jackson being the pick. I’m a little skeptical that they’ll bring in another guy that is going to fight for time with a quality veteran player, given how much shit they got last year for trading up for Turner and not getting him on the field more. Second most likely option to me is a CB. After that I think it’s a crapshoot of BPA between DT, S, RB, WR3. I’m just not going to get wound up no matter which way we go as there’s a lot of options for improving the team.

My trade down prediction: Not very far for not very much. Like 2-4 picks for like an additional 4th.

It is amazing that outside of the top 5 there is very little consensus throughout the first rounds which I think will put a lot of players at 24 who some teams did not expect to be there. Hoping for a trade down, but my prediction is Will Johnson falls to us and Kam goes to the Michigan well two years in a row. I also think we will know who our backup QB will be after the weekend, possibly coming from a trade.

Man, I have NO IDEA what they would do if WJ falls to 24...

The injury history make me nervous as cat in a dog pound. Its also the only reason he'd fall that far.

Boom or Bust potential only rivaled by Nolan???

I predict that because my "stick and pick" players are Harmon, Starks, and Grant, they will all be gone at 24.   Dodgy

1. Keesi trades down from 24 with a team that drafts a QB.

2. Vikings draft 5 players and get at least 2 coveted udfa.

3. None of the players drafted today will be day 1 starters.
