Rodgers burning the Jets bridge/Me time
#1
Rodgers rips the #Jets, Glenn specifically, for how they informed him on moving on.

“The confusing thing is I went out there, we start talking … he (AG) runs out the room.”

Rodgers says he & Glenn got into it, telling each other, “You don’t know me”

"I figured when I flew across country to meet with the Jets there was gonna be a conversation..

We sat down in the office & 20 seconds in the coach said we're going in a different direction..

That's totally fine but they could have just told me that on the phone" ~n@AaronRodgers12

Asked if it feels like if he plays, it'll be with the #Steelers, Rodgers says: "I am trying to be open to everything and not specifically attached to anything when it comes to this decision. I’m not holding anybody hostage – I really want to emphasize that. … I’m just going through a lot in my personal life that has to take precedent at this point. ... At the same time, I want to keep the lines of communication open."

From the jump, I'm in a different phase of my life, I'm 41 years old, I'm in a serious relationship, I have personal commitments I've made... and people in my inner circle battling difficult stuff. To make a commitment to a team is a big thing."

Steelers must be super pumped about these comments one week before the NFL Draft.

Aaron Rodgers told the @PatMcAfeeShow: “I’m open to anything and attached to nothing. Retirement could still be a possibility.”

But no decision about 2025 so far.

Rodgers quote seemed to be missing the obvious.

He doesn't want to go to training camp. He'll drag his feet as long as he can. He won't commit to anybody except himself. He should just walk away in silence but he's addicted to the limelight.

It was kind of a dick move to have him fly in from CA to NY only to tell him you're going a different direction at QB. Maybe a phone call or Teams call would have done?

I agree. But some people feel that firing someone by a phone call or text is a cowards way out. Some think doing it face to face is the way a man should do it. Shitty to make him fly to NY to get fired, but they could have dragged it out longer, which would have been worse.

Man, he just lets it all hang out here lol. Lit Glenn up big time. This is classic bridge burning with zero fucks given. Feel how you might about Rodgers, I don't doubt this is exactly how the interaction went. Hard to say this wasn't a dick move by Glenn.

"And I was kinda shocked," Rodgers continued. "Not because I didn't think that was a possibility ... but shocked because I just flew across the country and you could've told me this on the phone. ... And this is verbatim, exactly how it happened. ... And he goes, 'We just wanna know how you want it released, the messaging.' And I said, 'I don't give a shit about the messaging.'" At that point, Rodgers explained, Glenn implied the quarterback would be a locker-room distraction. "He said, 'I don't wanna be up in front of the room, saying something, and have guys looking back at you,'" Rodgers said of Glenn's remarks. "And I said, 'What does that even mean? Are you assuming that I would be in the back of the room during the team meeting, undermining what you're saying?' I said, 'You don't know me.' And he said, 'You don't know me.' And then I said, 'Exactly. Which is why I flew across the country to have a face-to-face meeting with you, to talk about my experience with the Jets and to hear your vision for the team.' ... What I thought was gonna be a couple-hour meeting turned into like a 15-minute meeting, and I walked out of there ... I don't want any part of that. It was already a debacle."

The Jets are one messed up org. Woody Johnson is an epic megalomaniac.
