Very. I’d say I’d throw a brick through my tv, but that wouldn’t be prudent.

According to mock draft database, Emmanwori is now our consensus pick. I'm not as convinced as you that he's the next Sean Taylor, but I would not hate this pick, especially if there's truth to the Samuel rumors.

I’ve heard Derwin James more than a few times. But, yeah the consensus is really coalescing around Thanos.

Kiper just dropped a new 2 round mock draft and has the Vikings refreshingly taking someone different;
24. Minnesota Vikings
Donovan Jackson, G, Ohio State
Minnesota signed guard Will Fries and center Ryan Kelly away from the Colts. It's a big improvement on the interior offensive line. Let's take it a step further. Jackson would replace Blake Brandel at the other guard spot, and he has the versatility to kick outside if needed. He did so this past season when Josh Simmons got hurt for Ohio State. That seems relevant given left tackle Christian Darrisaw is recovering from a left knee injury. Jackson is a plug-and-play interior blocker with great agility and technique; he allowed four sacks over 40 career starts. The Vikings do not have a second-round pick, but they could find a solid cornerback at the end of Round 3.
He also has the Bears absolutely murdering the draft taking Tyler Warren, Walter Nolen, and Trayveon Henderson. Ugh

Time to get away from the simulators. My mock draft 16 days out (assumes Samuel signing):
1.24 - traded down to 32 with Phi for their 3rd and 4th rounder
1.32 - Donovan Jackson, G, OSU - “a second-round pick as a left tackle and a Pro Bowl player as a guard...He’s one of the best run blockers I’ve seen in a long, long time.”
3.96 (from Phi) - Bayshul Tuten, RB, VT - “He’s the closest one to Gibbs as far as, if there’s a crease, it’s over....really good kid”
3.97 - Jonas Sanker, S, UVA - “he’s so smart and so mature and so professional.”
4.134 (from Phi) - Yahya Black, DT/NT, IA - 6-5, 330, 35-inch arms. “emerged as a leader. He’s vocal.”
5.139 - Jeffrey Bassa, LB, OR - “leadership was on display at the Senior Bowl when he addressed the team after one practice.”
6.187 - Kai Kroger, P, SC - “He’s the best holder, for sure. He’s a legitimate threat to run a fake.”

I could definitely get on board with that draft. Jackson gives you flexibility to start at tackle until Darrisaw returns and then immediately slides in at left guard, or maybe you just plug him in at guard right away and swing Brandel out to tackle. Either way that's win win. I like Tuten at that spot but think someone will draft him higher. Nice job though. Any draft that doesn't include Thanos or Starks...sign me up.
