Now that I know there's a legit competition, I bet Minnesota doesn't go OG in round 1 if they stick and pick. Jurgens carries his weight better, looks stronger to me.

Damn, if Minnesota hits on McCarthy, they could be good a long while. When Tom P. asked KOC about if he thought his 'window was opening now' he said our plan is to have our window open every year. That's the right answer if you hit on a young QB. Everything seems to be coming together for a real run. Something different. KOC also mentioned that they want to run more, which is also the right answer. And I think they got the line for it with Jurgens in for Brandel or a Draft pick. And you'll have franchise NFL QB mode for JJM, just look a LITTLE more like Michigan. We have some conditional picks hanging out there in 2026. We have our 1, 2, and 3, but either or 4th or 5th is transferring to Jax for Cam Robinson and our 6th or 7th might transfer for Akers and/or Robinson depending on conditions met. So we have 4 or 5 picks in 2026? The comp picks will definitely help fill out our draft chest to a normal size, even if we just get 2. I could see Kwesi using a future pick to get more picks this year. With his analytics and Wall Street background, he likes to trade future picks to acquire assets today if the value is there. It's also why we are seeing more use of void years in our player contracts. Even though they may hit our cap as dead money eventually, he's gaining space on this years cap and the dead money is "less" in future years because the cap keeps going up.

Steelers owner Art Rooney II sees 'positive signs' that Aaron Rodgers will join the team
PALM BEACH, Fla. — Steelers owner Art Rooney II says there are ‘’positive signs’’ that Aaron Rodgers will play in Pittsburgh. The four-time NFL MVP worked out recently with new Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf after previously visiting the team. ‘‘We keep hearing that he’s heading in our direction so that seems to be all signs are positive so far,‘’ Rooney told reporters at the NFL meetings on Tuesday. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Monday that he’s staying in touch with Rodgers and is comfortable with Mason Rudolph as the starting quarterback. ‘‘That’s why we brought him back,‘’ Tomlin said. ‘’I’m comfortable with that. And we’ve been there before.‘’ The Steelers allowed Russell Wilson (Giants) and Justin Fields (Jets) to leave in free agency and brought back Rudolph. Pittsburgh hasn’t won a playoff game since reaching the AFC title game following the 2016 season. The Steelers hold the 21st overall pick in the draft. Mississippi quarterback Jaxson Dart is a possibility whether the 41-year-old Rodgers signs with the team or not. Rodgers is a free agent for the first time in his 20-year career. He could be contemplating retirement, signing with the Steelers or waiting for the Minnesota Vikings to express interest. The Vikings seem to ready to go with J.J. McCarthy.

Cousins to Cleveland... feel a little bad for him if that happens. Even though Stefanski is a good coach, they still can't put together a winner there.

That said, an interior offensive lineman could align with both the short- and long-term priorities. Add a player like Ohio State’s Donovan Jackson or North Dakota State’s Grey Zabel, and the Vikings would be creating competition for 2025 and providing a potential plug-and-play candidate for other offensive line needs to come.
Minnesota’s offensive staff values Brandel and thinks there is a considerable difference in his performances with left tackles Christian Darrisaw and Cam Robinson. Having him under contract and Jurgens developing alongside him keeps the Vikings from having to force the issue in the draft. This has been my stance as well. Brandel was performing well at a new position while Darrisaw was in. Let’s not throw out the baby with the bath water.

I want our long term center situation addressed, maybe in the draft. It looks like we're theoretically set for this season, but it'd be good to have trench depth across the board.
Build on 14-3, take back the NFCN, break the ****ing curse. Simple.

I wonder if they see Jurgens as that guy, they were really high on him when they drafted him, looks like he is going to see action at guard this year and maybe they see him eventually going back to center. |
