Vikings trade for Jordan Mason

Why would I hate the Darnold signing? We all assumed it was to be the backup or a stopgap until McCarthy was ready. I was as verbal as anyone on this board about getting off the Kirk Cousins money carousel. But if you want to start throwing around "receipts" let me know. I've got plenty..

Go ahead and throw receipts, I don't care. I'm the one always saying I'm more wrong that right most times, lol. But saying that you're wrong is very, very hard for some people. You ok?

We are all wrong and have gotten it wrong when it comes to football. Not sure how me disagreeing on acquiring Jordan Mason has mutated into this, but again, my only gripe here on Mason is if it moves us off a special talent at running back in the draft (which it might). We've now invested free agent dollars and draft picks addressing the position and I could see that as justification. It's not that I think Mason is trash or a bad player but this is a special group of running back prospects and it would be nice to have one of those guys on a rookie contract. But like I said earlier, let's see how it plays out and we can revisit this topic after the draft. No sense mashing teeth over it now

IMO this RB heavy draft might be perfect for us after we got Mason.  Let a run on RBs happen and drive more skilled players down to us.  Might luck out

I'll take RJ Harvey please.....I've been on this guy's bandwagon for over a month. Exactly the kind of higher upside producer that you can get a little bit later in the Draft and will be an excellent pro. Compact and stocky. Reads the blocks and can be patient. Dawg attitude. Trustworthy. Has his weaknesses but I think he'll surprise.

Jordan Mason is going to be an important part of the running game, watch and see.

I think he could do more than surprise, I think he could supplant AJ as starter b4 17 games are said and done.

While watching Mason's highlight video I had a deja vu moment, so I googled it....

Leroy hoard 5'11 224lbs

Jordan Mason 5'11 223lbs.

Interesting. About the same speed too. Does this mean Mason will get us 3 yards when we need 5?
