Post June 1st release which will save us 4.4 million. Never lived up to expectations or able to correct his issues with bigger defensive lineman. Hopefully he ends up in Green Bay

After making 31 phone calls, obviously they had no takers for a trade.
That's the funny thing about the NFL...it's not a "market" in the true business sense. Your options are very finite. Best to clean him out with a post-June 1 designation for the cap space.

Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Probably doing him a favor so he can get ample time to latch on to another team. We need to keep our 2nd position for most player attractive team in the NFL ![]()

Sure but then Bradbury's agent CAA Football who rep a large number of NFL players, could make it hard for the team to sign other players they rep, because they and Bradbury certainly wanted an early release so they could pursue a new team and contract for him. OTOH, friendliness to Bradbury equals future friendly negotiations, opportunities, etc. The contract game as it's actually played is not the one-dimensional one-way street you are imagining. Every action has a consequence, and is the consequence of a negotiation. Though we aren't privy to any of the details, quid pro quo is the operating principle. The top ten or so agencies rep at least half the players in the league and have a lot of behind the scenes power.

Shakespeare That no other franchise was willing to part with a late draft pick to get him at a decent cost tells me how good a player the NFL thinks he is
He's also designated a June 1 cap hit, why do that? Unless the Vikings are gonna make another big signing via trade .....? |
