$33m under the cap....
Plenty of room for rookie pool, qb2.
Get another starter for the D backfield and that would make a good flex situation even better with just 4 picks this draft.

I think MB mentioned it in an earlier thread, but maybe CB is the pick in the first round for Minnesota now. Makes a bunch of sense. I still want an OG, but I would put CB as my 1A pick for sure.

I think you can get a superior talent by drafting in round 1 of the Draft instead of FA now. Its only seat fillers from here on out in FA.

Asante Samuel would be a Kwesi like find. My guess is Griffin is back.

Two wildcards this year are McGlothern who showed a lot of promise and Blackmon coming back from injury, hopefully one or both will emerge as legit candidate for playing time.

He was out with injury most of last year, but a good young CB. I figured he'd get more interest early in FA, but might be able to get him for a good deal instead of overpaying. I would feel good with our CB room if we get him.
Murphy, Samuel, Rodgers, and Blackmon and McGlothern. Nice mix of guys in their prime and some youth. Would still be able to add a CB early, but wouldn't need to force it at 24.

It’s too early to say anything for certain about those two, especially after Blackmon’s injury. But I think we might have a player in Blackmon. He was the 102nd player taken in the 2023 draft, so roughly around the 50th defensive player taken. Despite this, he had the 4th highest PFF grade (77.3) out of all defensive rookies. He is also the only player from the 2023 draft class to play 400 snaps and not miss a tackle. He ranked 1st among all rookies (89.3) in tackling—not 1st among DBs, 1st among all defensive players.
Still, I think there’s a big difference between a player who might have a bright future and one that let's you cross his position off your list of needs. So I would say, right now, CB is still one of our biggest needs going into the draft.
