Favre tells Rodgers to join the Vikings...please god no.  I'm telling you right now, I'd watch 24 hours of Cricket vs watch Rodgers playing for the Vikings

I tend to think of him in terms of painkiller addiction, CTE, and years in court for ripping off Mississippi taxpayers...and the media circus that came with him.

Barely could abide his good season in Purple, totally saw the following disaster season coming, and this latest babble does nothing to raise his standing.
Build on 14-3, take back the NFCN, break the ****ing curse. Simple.

I'm not completely against signing Rodgers, as I think he will be even better a year after surgery and I would wager to guess in this Vikings offense he would have one of his best seasons ever. But the only way that happens is if he is signed as the starter because McCarthy isn't ready. There's no way its in the best interest of the Vikings or Rodgers to bring him in as a backup and no way he'd ever agree to that. He wasn't bad on an ass Jets team last season that fired the head coach a month into the season. The Vikings would just need to make a decision on how comfortable they are going with McCarthy

Why care? There's no chance in hell Rodgers will be a Viking. It's more than obvious, this is JJM's team.

Just a guess, but I think there is some real interest on both sides and it's why there continues to be smoke and why Rodgers hasnt made a decision yet. Its possible the Vikings aren't quite comfortable turning over a championship caliber roster to a 22 year old coming off a kneee injury who has yet to play a regular season down in the NFL. It's very possible they view Rodgers as the better option FOR THIS SEASON to get them where they want to go. I don't think it's the worst thing in the world or a terrible idea to sign Rodgers as your starter while McCarthy gets an actual year of backup experience, taking real snaps in practice, and getting some playing time under his belt before turning the keys over to him completely next season (2026). You may ask, "well if thats the case then why didn't they just bring back Darnold?" The answer is the Vikings were never going to get into a bidding war for Darnold (offer was 1 yr-25 million) and there is no way you'd have seen Rodgers do a total choke job like Sam did the last two weeks of our season. Rodgers, like it or not, is an upgrade to Darnold at the position. The Vikings become real contenders with Rodgers under center and that was never the case with Sam Darnold. Be interesting to see how the Vikings play this.
