So how is it Sam Darnold isn't signed yet?
#1
That should have happened yesterday, supposedly the biggest free agent out there. Not saying he's not going somewhere, I'm saying usually a guy like this in this position is already buttoned up. His market can't be strong apparently. I haven't seen a sniff of a rumor about it (which means little) and its very surprising. 3 weeks ago the media acted like the suitors would be en fuego for Uncle Sammy.

Still a long day to go.....just seems odd.

Even for those able to overlook Sam’s last 2 games, it’s hard to ignore the prior 6 years!

Legal tampering window started at 12PM Eastern time today, so it’s officially "been happening" for like an hour.

Kind of nuts that we expect deals worth $10Ms to $100Ms to be tied down in less than an hour and not be a product of illegal tampering, like everyone pissed their pants about with Cousins.

That said I think it could either mean a low desire for Darnold and he’ll wait it out until either better QBs find a home or someone gets more desperate or it could mean a high demand with multiple teams and seeing if they can milk some team for more money.

Seattle has an OL thats shittier than the Vikings is.

That is not a good match for Sam, outside of W. Coast.

I have to lol if you think there hasn't been discussions with free agents before today at 11 am central. Wink

No QB’s have been signed yet. I don’t doubt Sam’s getting multiple offers, it’s the dollar amount and overall terms I’m guessing may hold things up a bit. He’s a bit risky and teams will want to protect themselves.

Yeah mostly just a commentary on how dumb fans were when Cousins did it.

Would just like to reiterate how funny it is that Rapaport was pumping Darnold back to MIN like a full-time job, the Las Vegas Raiders make one trade, and all of a sudden he says Darnold back to MIN is dead. Buddy it was always dead. Talk about CYA.

The reason the Vikings are moving slowly in free agency is because they're working on a long-term deal with Darnold that will pay him top 10 money.
