6 games of less than 48 yards and only went over 100 yards twice and that was barely.  Great if you think that kind of production for a guy on the decline is worth signing up for two more years of, that is your prerogative.  In a RB rich draft, I would rather look for a franchise back there.

Well, if most rushing yards in his career and second most receiving yards is in decline, let’s hope he declines some more in 2025.

It's his pass blocking, or lack thereof. If you want a clue as to which back the Vikings will target in the draft, look for players who can pass block.

The plan was RBBC, but that evaporated quickly. I would have used Akers more. There’s definitely some juice left. 

Jones deal is practically a 1 year job. Extremely team friendly. Thankfully takes Harris out of the equation. Now, to add that rookie to the room.

I’ve read mixed reviews on Harvey otherwise I would have trashed him by now. Skattebo I’ve seen on tape trying to spear guys. Literally head down not seeing the target. Rushers just sidestep him and make a beeline for the QB.

Brugler should have the Beast out soon. McGinn should be out soon. We shall see.

I just took the pass blocking grades from NFL Draft Buzz, so add salt. 

Really looking forward to McGinn's first draft column where he interviews current NFL scouts. Up until then, all we have are evals from media scouts. What actual scouts think can be eye opening, but it usually starts forming a much more solid consensus. Last year's first column was up March 11th, so it should be any day now, assuming he's doing it again this year.

I'd gently suggest to look at the known IOL issues, the pass-centric offense and HC, and the mediocre running game the Vikings have had in recent years.

Yes, AJ was beaten up a lot of that time, but that's not rare for RBs in general. He's a good locker room guy and one who'll play through pain for the team.

I wouldn't call it desperate, but our options at RB were limited. In looking at the amount of 2025 draft picks we currently have (woof), and the other FAs available (woof), I'm not shocked the team stuck with Jones. He's fine; it's fine.
