$45mm in cap space
Burrow's recent media tour at Super Bowl LIX featured several of his thoughts about how Cincinnati should approach a very important offseason.
Higgins was limited by injuries but is projected to be the No. 1 free agent if he hits the open market, according to ESPN. Chase is coming off a historic triple crown season and was a finalist for Offensive Player of the Year.
Defensive end Trey Hendrickson also wants a new deal after he led the league in sacks and was a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year.
The Cincinnati quarterback praised the way Philadelphia treated the salary cap to build a championship-caliber team. "The Eagles are paying everybody," Burrow said. "That seems like the way. Whatever they're doing."

Right now, the Eagles could shit easter eggs and the media would be saying they've changed Easter and made it better. Can do no wrong currently. The formula for winning Superbowls does vary, just look at the winners the last 15 years. There isn't just one way. Burrow wants weapons, I get it. Cincy is notoriously cheap. The Bengals owner's wealth comes from the team, not like other billionaires that made their money elsewhere first. He's never going to exhaust the cap money. Until recently, their facilities were the worst in the NFL for decades.

They've had soooo many chances over the years to double-down and get over the top. I'd be frustrated at ownership and the football gods if I was a bengal fan.

It's tough but they gotta let Higgins go. They will. Paying top of market WR1 FA bucks for a WR2 when the defense is giving up 35 per game would be hilarious though.
Sidenote on Higgins the player- I was never a believer before this season, but I was wrong. He's kind of like Anthony Davis. Always hurt. But when he plays, look out. I know WRs oftentimes get paid in FA, go to a new team, and stink. But I think Higgins may have a chip on his shoulder and if if if he can stay healthy, he'll be a huge get for some team.
If the Vikings weren't so stacked at WR, I'd say he's a guy who's worth the injury gamble.

We'll probably have similar issues with Addison when the time comes. Can't have expensive contracts all over the offense.

The Eagles are where they are because they consistently knocked it out of the park drafting college players, and were also really really good signing key FA’s.

I can't ever believe in Burrow and/or Cincy. He'll be great, then he'll be hurt, then they'll be great, then his team will look like a dumpster fire...back and forth, like a more extreme version of the Allen/Bills seesaw.
Wait, we failed to protect our QB in big games, again?
MAYBE THERE'S A LESSON HERE.

I thought about that too...
I think this yr3 is really important for JA. Luv having him as a weapon with Hock and Jefferson.
I think TJH has a bigger year this year with JJM at QB. Young guys love their TE's.
I'm still not quite sure what JA's ceiling is? I dont think its WR1 though.

I agree 100%, PF. I think Hock being another year removed from the ACL injury and being paired with a young QB will elevate him back to his dominant self.
Also, Addison is a really, really good WR. He's good enough to be a #1 option on a team. He can make plays all over the field and has a nose for the end zone. 19 TDs in two seasons on a team with Justin Jefferson... He's good.
