Agreed. Their o-line was brutal. Honestly, the MVP should have gone to the d-line. They rocked Mahomes and grounded their offense.

Would love to see our front office take note. Philly built the lines first and that made all the difference.

Would love to see our front office take note. Draft players that will actually be playing in 2 years. Kwesi flat out sucks out loud at drafting. Think of how much better this offseason would be with a crop of young players on rookie contracts waiting in the wings to take over next year...

Philly DL getting all the glory - and its deserved.

On the flip-side, Philly has built and outstanding OL as well.

Spags only got home a few times last night and it was on zero or near zero blitzes. Their DL wasn't moving Hurts around at all.

Buffalo had to be sick watching that game, they were a better team than KC and should have beaten them. Unfortunate KC was probably gifted 14 points in that game, but the Bills had the ball in their hands with a chance to win it on last drive. The way Philly looked yesterday, I am not sure the Lions would have beaten them, they would have had the playoff experience on them and a better rounded team.

I wonder if Lions fans will look back at 2024 like we do 1998?

Yes. He gives up way to much draft capital when he makes his moves and has become a mark for GM's to deal with!

I remember the year after we lost Shurmur and you could sure tell he wasn't calling plays anymore. Losing Ben Johnson is huge for the Lions. Plenty of talent still, but the gutting of Campbells staff was like vultures on a carcass.

Vikings will very likely take a step back this season with a rook QB, but they should still be competitive and fun to watch.

I felt and still feel that Shurmur was the real key figure in 2017, as he seemed able to get respect from Zimmer and worked very well with the tools we had. Sadly, Philly exposed the weaknesses that we'd sort-of hidden that season, and it was brutal. I think he would've done wonders with Cousins the following season, but he got promoted and we had to reset things with a grouchy Zimmer.

The Lions are already having their coaches picked over, that'll happen with players as well. It'll get much worse if they lose cultural cohesion next season; they'll likely lose their relevance like so many almost-rans have done.

The Bills...we'll see. If Allen gets more tools and they keep most of it together, they'll be a force as usual. KC has a LOT of soul searching to do this offseason, that'll be very interesting.

I don't think I'd go that far, but its up there for them. Definitely the worst wasted season they've ever had. I think the parallel is they were absolutely convinced their Lions were on cruise control to the Superbowl, although I'm not sure all of VikingNation was quite as convinced of that back in '98 just because of old scars, but it sure seemed like Minnesota's season that year. Losing at home in OT in the NFCC game for Viking's fans is a step above what Detroit fans went through IMO.
