Lions OC Ben Johnson hired by the Bears.

That didn't take long.

The New York Jets are making a push to land Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn today. He’s set to visit the team, and they’re hoping to make it happen. But keep an eye on the New Orleans Saints who also have interest in Glenn. A lot of moving pieces…

It'll be interesting to see if Meathead Dan Campbell and his dirty pride of Lions are any good without his top two coordinators (assuming Aaron Glenn gets a HC spot).

I could see Detroit taking a step back from their NFC dominance if those two leave.

Yah, that's a major question for them...

I remember losing Shurmur and that set the team back.

Lions have outstanding personnel, someone will inherit a talented group.

On the flip side with the roster talent Detroit's assembled, they'll probably have their choice of coaches wanting those coordinator jobs.

Yup, the major issue with the Head Coach not being the offensive coordinator.  Any successful coordinator gets hired elsewhere and the offense has to start over.

That was the biggest failure in the Zimmer era IMO.  It really saps the continuity.  Glad we have KOC if for only that reason.

Yeah, I don't think there's much room for the defensive only minded HC that fully outsources the offense to the OC.  I think at this point you can be offensive only, or cover both.

Hopefully owners will realize this and we can keep Flores.

Is Flores under contract for next year? I know if he gets a HC job he's gone but what if he doesn't?

Looks like Josh McDaniels is back with the Patriots as Vrabel's OC
