So true. It's not enough to have good players, coaches and schemes. You have to be hot, healthy and lucky at the right time too. I've said this before, and it could never happen in football, but if each game were a best of seven series, I think we'd see some different outcomes. Does Washington beat Detroit in a best of seven? I have my doubts. Do the Vikings lose to the Falcons in a best of seven in '98? Not a chance.

Very tough. Its a war of player attrition through injuries and who commits/gets turnovers: this decides most games and 3-4 plays a game are the difference. Winning games in the NFL is very hard, its why I have extreme confidence in KOC. His next jump will/needs be in the playoffs and winning games there....and this will be the offseason to make moves, improve the team and most probably start a young QB in JJ (but one that will fully grasp the offensive playbook). Flores isn't going anywhere so there'll be continuity on both sides of the football, important.

The Vikings are set up to keep pace and be successful in a really tough division.

Vikings should be opening a window in 2025. I'm not sure the Lions losing both coordinators is really that big of a deal. That's still a very talented roster. The Packers will be there too. And if Ben Johnson can help Caleb Williams just a little bit, this division is going to be a bloodier slugfest than it was this year.
