I feel for the Lion's fans

Fck them...

They can dream about "what if" the rest of winter.

You gotta grab the ring when you can, nobody is promised a next year in the NFL.

I don't feel bad either. Fuck them. They got super cocky this week online. Go get it, otherwise boo hoo. I have enough Viking's fan disappointment, don't feel the need to wish well to other teams. Lion Nation had already printed and minted Superbowl tickets mentally.

The Lions as an underdog team? Perhaps last year but not this year as they were one of the preseason Super Bowl favorites, and they played like it for most of the year. Do I feel bad for them? Nope.

Whats kinda weird is the Vikings have BIG questions on that roster. So big that it doesn't fit sensibly with the gaudy regular season record. Add to it questions about the HC/GM (which I suspect will get resolved).

This is a real pivotal year and the decisions they make this off-season will keep that window open or not.

I agree Detroit is the team to beat for the division. They will be the favorites next year, as they should with 1/2 their roster coming back off IR.

I think we are 0/3 or 0/4 against them the last few seasons? They have one of the best rosters in football and certainly in the NFC North.

If I could pluck one player off that team? It would be Gibbs...

I'd probably go with their IOL and then draft Jeanty.

Questions, sure. Will Harry retire? Are we able to tag and trade Darnold? Does Daniel Jones stay or go? Are we replacing all three of the IOL or just one or two? It's going to be a crazy spring.

But I'd say most of the questions have pretty clear answers.  Vikings have 21 players whose contracts expired in 2024. But by my estimation, only 2 of them we'll want to resign (Bynum, Murphy). Vikings managed their bridge seasons very well this year. Darnold, Aaron Jones, Gilmore, Griffin, Tillery, etc, were largely successful. But I don't see too many of them coming back.

Watching NFL Countdown this morning and they were stating since week 14 the Lions statistically fielded the worst defense in the league. The only thing that went through my head was how in the F did the Vikings only manage to score 9 points against that Mash unit who you could have mistaken for the 85 Chicago Bears that night? Then it happens again the very next week against the Rams in a playoff game on a neutral field. The Vikings have roster holes that certainly need upgrading, but KOC is going to have to come up with a plan B
when plan A isn't working. Thusfar in his short coaching career he has been unable or unwilling to do that and that's got to change.

Screw that. I don't feel bad for them at all. Talk shit, get hit. Hit with Goff's 69 million dollar cap hit next year. 23 free agents. Staggered time frame on returns for their injured players. Who knows what happens with the OC and DC. Nah they wanted to talk smack, they can feel the pile on. Idgaf about their feelings and their bragging

I don't feel bad. We are Vikings fans for damn sakes. That team is in for a rude awakening. So many re-signs and losing coaches. I feel its the beginning of the end for the Lions.

It's going to be tough for the Lions to get back to that spot because of this.  If they lose Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn, I think their window is closed.  They will be competitive but wont be as dominant as they were this year.  Window closes fast in the NFL.
