More news out of Cleveland.
QB Deshaun Watson ruptured his Achilles again and had another surgery to repair it, per source. Long road ahead.

This is the WORST signing in NFL history and 3 first round draft picks given up in comp.

Terrible move...

It's the closest I have seen to sniffing Herschel Walker territory...

....at least Walker didn't get $250 million guaranteed.

I don't think anything will match Walker. Johnson absolutely pulled one over on us knowing he wasn't going to keep the players so he could get the draft picks instead. Then turned the draft picks into 3 SBs.

While this may make me seem (more) sadistic...

...I couldn't help chuckling a bit, both at Watson's expense and at the front office of the Browns. That dude's red flags were (are) off the charts in Houston, and he's been a wrecking train of burning dumpsters since. I have a special hatred for rapey assclowns, and similarly for their enablers. While the fans in Cleveland do NOT deserve this horror show, the Browns decision-makers absolutely do...and Watson will hopefully be infamous as a complete assclown more than a player.
Time for KOC, Darnold, and the team to prove they can win BIG games....

Bad decisions on everyone's part...multiplicity of bad decisions/behavior by Watson...horribly bad business decision by the Cleveland franchise.

Not only was the deal terrible, they haven't even felt the pain yet. First year cap hit was 9.3 mil. Followed by 19 mil, and then 27 mil last year. Next year that he will most likely miss? 72 million against the cap... The following year? Another 72 million...

Then it gets worse, as it is right now they are -25 million over the cap as it is for 2025.

Then he has a no-trade clause. So unless he agrees to it, you can't even send his ass to a cap rich team.

So you just hunker down and cut his ass. Spreading his cap hit over the next 4 years of his current deal....at 43 million a year.

At least we aint the Browns.
