Titans secure #1 pick in 25 draft...
#1
The Tennessee Titans secured the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on Sunday with the loss to the Houston Texans and the Patriots' win over Buffalo.

Tennessee lost 23-14 to a Houston team comprised mostly of backups to finish with a 3-14 record in Brian Callahan's first season as head coach.

The Titans needed New England (4-13) to win to move up to No. 1, as the Patriots would have been ahead of the Titans in the draft order via the strength of schedule tiebreaker if the teams had the same record. Tennessee's strength of schedule is worse than the Giants and Browns, allowing them to be ahead of both teams.

The Titans will have to make decisions on Callahan's future as well as the futures of front office executives Ran Carthon and Chad Brinker before focusing in on the offseason.

That offseason now includes the top pick in the draft and a chance to either pick a quarterback or another franchise building block should the Titans elect not to trade the selection.

PF I agree! This draft for QBs is awful.

The Vikings have the 30th pick, ahead of just the Chiefs (31) and Lions (32), though draft order for playoff teams is subject to change.

I’d rather have who we have in house from last years draft over anyone available in this years draft.

All of these eligible QBs in the upcoming Draft have some major flags. I thought Sanders might pull away, but he's shown some warts....mostly because he's been a little inconsistent compared to last year. He's smallish (despite what you read, he's 6'1"), probably 210 lbs maybe. Not a real threat to run, although slippery in the pocket. Arm strength is average. But very tough and a competitor. Accurate more often than not. I still prefer him over Cam Ward....but my guess is Ward will be taken before him because GMs just can't help themselves sometimes with a physical specimen.

The NFL Stock Exchange comped him to Teddy on their QB rankings podcast.
