It feels a bit like a SB loss this morning..
I have a feeling these guys are going to be prepared for the Rams on MNF.
Maybe the loss is a kick start to some wins in the post-season? 9 wins in a row was a hella run

That was a big loss. Got beat pretty bad. Darnold was not up to the task. That game should have been and was there was us to open a pretty big lead.

Sometimes Super Bowl teams will drop a game toward the end of the season and it can be the catalyst to correct things they didn't know needed correcting. Hopefully, that's the case here.

I think the lions really exposed that if you rushed this OL they can't do anything about it. Doesn't look good going into teams that are in the playoffs. Also, that game reminded me of when Darnold said, "I'm seeing ghosts" on the sidelines a few years ago. I have always said he doesn't seem to have the capacity to think and react in the moment.

This board is downright cheery compared to the Twitter feed. Apocalyptic. Cut Darnold now and forget the playoffs.
If you aren't the absolute best team in the NFL, pounding teams, you are garbage to some fans.

I'm scarred and certainly jaded. But to define a 14/3 season with this loss would be an injustice to ones own fandom and all the work the guys have put in.
Lets see what MNF brings b4 throwing dirt on em.

I don't think that's the case. In 2024, Darnold was fantastic against the blitz. His 12 TDs with 0 INTs, 9.9 yards per attempt and a 130.8 passer rating against the blitz led the NFL.

I think the zero blitz is what did him in. That line could not handle it.

He defeated the blitz many many times this year. I don't think it's any more complicated than he was off. Like WAY off. He's had times when he started games a little off-target but he would typically settle in and finish games with almost ridiculous accuracy. He didn't do that last night for whatever reason.
I tend to think he was just too jacked. You could see it in his eyes. Unfortunately, KOC did nothing to help him settle down. Sometimes dialing up a series of high-percentage passes, like quick outs can help a QB settle down, but that didn't happen. And I think the inaccuracy led to a crisis in confidence where he was not seeing receivers on the few occasions when they did get open. It snowballed.

I think the biggest let down is that we have all seen this exact same game so many times in our biggest games - we give away opportunities early to put us in lead, we look lost, lesser players dominate our star players, our QB chokes, our kicker lets us down, we do not make adjustments and get out coached. Different years, different players, different coaches, same results. It gets really discouraging to see the same thing consistently. This team did not play anything like this all year and suddenly they transform into the Viking choke teams of the past. If we lost like we did the first game to them, no shame, we move on, but we did not show up for this game like we have done so many times in other years. I kept thinking there was something different with this team and really thought we would win, should have known better.
