I guess that’s true, but if Sam walks I figure he would have no better sitch.

If it isnt Sammy next year it will most likely be JJM,  i dont see Jones taking Mullins job as a better situation than trying to get his own Sammy for a year job with another team.

Hell I think Mullins is a FA as well after this year,  that QB room could be completely different ( save one) in a few months.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

I’d be perfectly content with JJM and Balls of Steel Nick Mullens next year if that’s how it shakes out.

What a rare and simply glorious year, I haven’t had this much fun since 98.

Yah, Mullens is a FA too...

Jones, Darnold and I believe just about the entire defensive backfield.

What they do with Darnold (and Dimes) are the "A topics" this off-season for sure.

They should keep one of those guys.

IMO they cant give the reigns of the offense to JJM at the start of 25, not on a 14 or 15 win team.

It would be a lot of pressure on the kid and he's gotta prove he can "do the job." He hasn't done that yet.

‘Can’t measure Sammy D’s toughness'

After Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold came up from a hit against the Seahawks limping last Sunday, he gave O’Connell a thumbs up and then threw a 39-yard touchdown to wide receiver Justin Jefferson the next play.

“You can’t measure Sammy D’s toughness,” running back Aaron Jones said Thursday. “I don’t think there’s a measuring stick or anything like that for that. ... You may see him hobbling back out there, but he’s giving his all, and that speaks volumes of him. He plays with his heart, and that’s another thing you can’t measure.”

Darnold’s toughness is a motivator for teammates, Jones said, and is a big reason the Vikings are 13-2 vying for a No. 1 seed.

He’s taken 45 sacks this season — fourth-most in the league — but only missed seven of the Vikings' 980 offensive snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.

Jefferson, once concerned about Darnold taking hits, said he no longer is. He expects him to be tough.

“He’s a soldier, man,” Jefferson said. “He’s a warrior.”
