13-2 and either Detroit or Minnesota will be a wildcard....

We have to beat GB first before we can look at Detroit or its all moot.

I don't believe that is true. If........

Packers win their last 3 games and
Lions lose their last 2 and
Eagles lose to Cowboys
We win the #1 seed

So the Lions will wait to see the outcome of Packers/Vikings and if
the Vikings win they may rest players vs 49ers but if
the Packers win they can win the #1 seed with a victory over the 49ers.

If the Vikings win out, they get the #1 seed no matter what anyone else does.

I know, I'm just showing the way we can get to the Number 1 seed if we lose to the Packers.

How we get the number 1 seed if we lose to the Packers Updated:

Lions lose their last 2 games and
Eagles lose 1 of final 2
We win the #1 seed

So the Lions will wait to see the outcome of Packers/Vikings and if
the Vikings win they may rest players vs 49ers but if
the Packers win they can win the #1 seed with a victory over the 49ers.

If the Vikings beat Green Bay on Sunday, their hopes for the No. 1 seed and NFC North title remain alive. They would also guarantee they finish ahead of the Packers in the standings.

Lose Sunday, and the Lions can clinch the division with a win at San Francisco on Monday night. The Packers would also gain the tiebreaker edge on the Vikings.

IF that last game of the season at Detroit has nothing on the line? I could see KOC resting key starters for it.

If the Vikes won a crappy division with a 9-8 record nobody here would be crying that playoff seeding needs to be revamped. If you don't like drawing a lower seed then win the damned division.

p.s. there's no crying in football Wink

The next 2-3 years this is gonna happen again. 13 wins and no home playoff game.....

None of the NFC north teams are "old", in "cap hell" or at the end of their "window".

Unlikely this is a 1 year abirritation.

It'll track that the NFL will change the rule in 5 years after the NFC North gets repeatedly punk'd
