WR Jordan Addison
#1
I got to see this beauty of a throw and catch/run from directly behind the play......cold blooded way to start the 2nd half and took the wind out of the fans at the stadium completely.

Addison is a bit of an enigma, in some games you forget he is there, he seems totally remote from the game and then there are games like this past Sunday when he looks like he is the one of the most dynamic and explosive playmakers in the league. It was very similar in his time at USC. Hopefully, KOC can bring forward the big time WR Addison more consistently.

When you have the best WR in the league (Jefferson), it requires a solid QB to take advantage of it. It was a matter of time before opponents doubled down on aggressively covering him...we've seen him draw an extraordinary number of DPIs this season, I thought. And in a game like this, where the Bears were effectively double-teaming him all game, it leaves Addison and a healthy Hock (or Jones) open. If this continues, they cannot continue to double-team Jefferson. It's been a while since we've had three-four weapons like this (Carter/Moss/Reed/Smith comes to mind).

He wouldn't be WR1 ahead of the Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase (in the AFC North), but the others are hard to argue with.

I don't think he does as well as a WR1 without Jefferson taking a lot of the pressure away leaving him 1 on 1.

Reminds me of TJ Houzamendah across from Chad Johnson.   Once he wasn't with Chad his performance dropped significantly.

NO doubt Jordan (and TJH) benefit from Jefferson...

Ive learned to enjoy the hear and now....But I have my doubts we'll be able to keep JA past his rook contract. I suspect deep down wants to be "the guy." I dont begrudge them going for the generational $$ either.

That said, at some point these guys got to realize their success is about their god given talents & the work they put in but also the surround and system.

Carter and Moss thrived off each other, maybe JJ & JA can do the same?

Addison played like a #1 WR as a rookie when JJ was out for like 6 or 7 games in the middle of the 2023 season.

He's not an elite WR like JJ, but he is very good. He'd be the number one guy on probably half the teams in the league.

IMO, no way he resigns with Minnesota for 2 reasons: he wants to be a #1 somewhere and I don't think the Vikings trust him 100% to give him a bag and commit....he can be a little unpredictable out in the real world. Its also a shitload of money to spend on your two top WRers.
