SI.com: Darnold's arm talent makes anything possible

Also, Purdy has done more than enough to get paid. This year has been a shit show all around for that team. Yet his numbers are still good. Career 69% passer and 66% this year in an off year for the whole offense. Hes only in his 3rd year too. They will sign him. No question.

This post aged...hilariously...!

Sam Darnold dropped back to pass 34 times. He was pressured 12 times (35.1%). No problem. Yes, he was sacked four times and forced to scramble twice for 8 yards.

But he also completed three of six passes for 113 yards and touchdowns of 49 yards to Jordan Addison and 52 and 12 yards to Justin Jefferson when pressured.

The 52-yarder left Jefferson in awe after seeing on the Jumbotron the Houdini act Darnold executed to avoid two blitzers on what would have been a sack up the middle had Kirk Cousins still been a Viking. “Being able to dodge that sack and move around the pocket and still have his eye downfield to find me, that’s special,” Jefferson said.

“That’s something that can’t really be taught. That’s Sam. … What he’s doing this season, especially today, is unbelievable.”

Charch's post immediately after we signed Darnold didn't age well...  Lol

But in his defense, no one expected Darnold to play this good.  Even when he kinda fumble farts around for the first couple quarters, he saves his best for the 4th quarter.  Like even the Atlanta game, he ended up with 2 TDs at half but it didn't feel like the offense was fully humming.  Then the 4th quarter happens and he was money and put the game away with some beautiful throws.

Damn...these are so funny. Just once I'd love to see a QB actually do this.
