I have a very difficult time rooting for the puke green and yellow.

Now is the time for Jordan Love to show he's worth the money. Detroit is depleted with injuries and its bright lights time for Thursday Night Football. The national media is on pins and needles, ready to throw the parade for the Packers with a win as they want to crown them desperately. No excuses for Love.

I find that whatever my brain tells me, my heart won't let me ever root for the Packers regardless. So I just go with the it....FTP.



And by the way, no other NFL team has more than seven defensive players on injured reserve; Detroit has 13. NO EXCUSES GREEN BAY!

Damn I just realized that. If the Lions lose and the Vikings win, the NFC #1 seed is very much in play for the Vikings. Atlanta leads the South with a .500 record, Seahawks lead the West at 7-5. Philly at 10-2 is the only competition for the top seed.

In this situation, I am forced to root for the Packers, sorry. It's a slippery slope. One more loss for the Packers puts them a game further behind us in the standings (assuming we keep winning). But a loss for the Lions here puts the ball firmly in our hands in terms of any chance of winning the NFC North. Home advantage can be a powerful thing.

I think a tie might aCtually not be bad for the Vikings. Not as good as a Lions loss.
