Telling Me You Are Going To Rig The Election, Without Saying The Words....

His car stock was diving, today, and they've had nothing, really, aside from that roadster that's in orbit, and years since its concept debut. Well, there's that godawful Etch-a-Sketch refugee "Cybertruck"...but, those are more of a matter of ridicule than anything, now. Their performance testing was, again, vaporware, they aren't nearly as good off road, and the "early orderers" are losing tons trying to flip them.

Their build quality, shortcomings in range, and frankly challenged aesthetics are very real issues. Helly, even the Hyundia/Kia electric stuff is better looking, less expensive, and much better value.

Tesla is only 4.7% below, or about $14, off its 52 week high.  On the year its up its current value of $342 is up about $204 over the 52 week low.

Yes his other ventures have huge earning potential for him,  but being dismissive about his place in the electric car game seems disingenuous.  Besides, Teslas current focus i believe is no longer in the car itself,  but the battery and the AI and self driving aspects.  Theres no money in "me too"  the money is in being the innovator, which is where they seem to be focused.  Lots of happy Tesla owners out there.

Lots of buyer remorse, too. When a battery fire can trap the passengers in the car (as was in the news this past week) and when Tesla has many issues with customers being charged massive money for what should be warranty repairs, as a lifelong car nerd and as someone who was in the automotive parts/service sector a long time...the hype was completely out of proportion to the quality of the products.

Plus, as is recorded, he'll say stupid and arrogant things to the point of tanking his own stock billions, and/or doing the same to sectors of cryptocurrency. This kind of narcissism being put into a position of authority is actually comparable to the whining, petulant, utterly dishonest gasbag that's appointing him.

Obviously, we'll get to see how it plays out...but remember, Elon's only openly shown enthusiastic loyalty to his SpaceX employees...so, he plays favorites, even within the industries with his name on them.

Throw in Gaetz and Dr. Oz, and this cabinet is looking like a warped, adult, tragic version of Romper Room, just with suits and authority.

how is this even possible... or acceptable?

They use machines,  even though they are apparently easily hacked.
They widely use early voting,  even though its more susceptible to fraud.
No Voter IDs.

How is this even a thing from the state that is home to the computer world?

So I shouldnt bring up that Newsomes new EV incentives dont include Tesla... the only EV actually made in his state?  What a fucking clown show that place has become.   I have heard he is the most likely candidate in 28 currently on the dems radar besides running harris again.  they dont look to be making it very hard on the Vance/whoever ticket.

There's actually a few EV manufacturers in California (Rivian, Lucid among others) but certainly Tesla is the largest.  For all his charisma, I think Newsome is completely unelectable due to his record in California.  Even with his limited debate skills, Desantis was able to out debate him citing cost of living, budget deficit, crime, sanctuary cities, woke initiatives, etc.  He's certainly the best known but at this point in time it would be a suicide mission for Newsome.  We'll see how the border and economy are doing near the end of Trump's term.  If it's significantly improved, it's likely a cakewalk for Vance as he is a much more disciplined MAGA candidate than Trump especially when dealing with adversity.  Lots of ifs at this point.  Guess we'll find out how it works out.

Rivian is headquartered in cali,  but their only manufactruing plant is in Illinois. They have another office in Carlsbad as well,  but no production.

Lucid is also only HQd in Cali,  production is in AZ.

I didn't link it,  but my source was a tweet from Musk,  i assume he knows the market  Big Grin

Hard pass on that clown and his over-hyped s**t cars.

NHTSA rates Tesla Deadliest Car Brand

No wonder he wants a regulatory position...and, as he's already a disinformation fan, this is as predictable as an SNL skit.

Two problems there,  that didnt come from the NHTSA,  the story was about using nthsa numbers and then extrapolating a conclusion without allowing for other factors and variables,  and Musk isnt pining for a regulatory position,   he is being asked to trim govt spending by decreasing overstepping govt programs and agencies.
