We won the game and Sam had an awful game. Put it in the win column and try to fix what went wrong.

We had a 42min time of possession. WTF exactly else could you ask of him? Darnold threw 3 picks in the red zone. 2 in the end zone.

Defense bailed out the O today, it happens. You study the tape and move on like Waterboy says.
They're 7/2 and thats what matters. This game (a bad one) doesnt define Sam's season by any means, this team aint 7/2 w/out him at QB. That said, the last couple games his throws have been off and/or poor decisions. He and the coaches need to figure out how not to throw 5 picks again the next 2 games. It sure was nice to see TJH back, wasn't it?

He has arm talent but appears to be a slow processor. He's late with some of his throws and doesn't see the receiver until they are open. Today he looked like the same old Darnold with a better surround. The offensive line didn't protect him very well either.
All he needs to be is a game manager and not turn the ball over. Hard to do unless you have a good run game. Offensive line seems to be weak in that category as well. Happy to have the win. Hope they can start playing better by December. Hockinson took a beating out there today. He'll be sore tomorrow!

Yes the O self destructed, see Darnold. The D carried them. The bottom line, if they are in the playoffs how they won this game will be irrelevant. A win is a win.

He needs to work on his accuracy past 20 yards. I'll give him a new nickname: Smalls But yes, to your point, when the NFL started, they chose to let the teams that win the most games go to the playoffs, not the teams that play the best. And as Vikings fans we should know because in the past we've seen our team play some great football only to just miss the playoffs by a game.

Ugggggly win. Amazing work by the defense all game long. Very impressive. And the kicker! Great job, new guy. Absolutely huge.
As for the offense- pretty good game from what I could tell, from everyone except one guy. 10/11 players playing well should mean we roll, right? Not so much . Good lord Darnold sucked eggs! Defenses are taking away the explosive plays and giving Darnold the underneath stuff, expecting him to eventually make a mistake. Basic stuff but it’s shutting our offense down big time. Hockenson played incredible today. Moved the sticks in so many clutch spots, and then got basically ignored in the red zone.
