Editorial on FEMA's response by Joe Messerli, politically incorrect Libertarian:

After this administration’s handling of Afghanistan, Ukraine, inflation, the border, and pretty much everything else, no one should be surprised the hurricane response has been a series of f*ckups. Obviously, allocating government money & resources to help everyone BUT American citizens makes things worse, but it doesn’t matter as much as you think, because the true source of problems is general government incompetence. If RINOs like George W. Bush were in charge, the results wouldn’t have been much better, although obviously the media coverage would be vastly different.

Government will always be dominated by political, power-seeking individuals ruling a system that provides no incentives for efficient employees and protects the worst performing ones, usually rewarding them with more money in their budgets after they fail. Higher-up jobs are handed out to those who are loyal, who perform political favors, and who check the boxes of whatever minority status helps the politicians in charge get re-elected. Add to that the truly unscrupulous ones who seek power solely to line their own pockets, as well as the officials who are blackmailed into doing as they’re told. And thanks to the media, even the “good” employees trying their best fall into a mentality of cover-your-ass and do whatever draws the least criticism. It all leads to a system that is guaranteed to fail.

You would think after Katrina and other weather disasters, the government would be super prepared to handle any scenarios, especially with all the leftist politicians squawking how climate change is going to destroy the world soon. But no, just another vivid example of government incompetence. Can you guess what the proposed solution will be? ? Gee, maybe more spending and taxes?! I’m sure THAT will solve everything. ? It’s not like the government would send those additional funds to other countries for endless wars, or use it to buy votes with handouts like student loan repayments, or set up millions of future voters from other countries to ensure one-party dominance for the rest of our lives. ?

Mandatory straw man bullshit: check!

Again, if the governors in question can point to actual conversations while the babbling blob waves his arms and insists that nothing happened...how is he any kind of source? If simple research can point to the different funds within organizations and point to resources above and beyond "just $750"...just by simply visiting, y'know, the actual sites and contacting the actual people...

...how is that, possibly, less valid than the spittle from a vapid shithead that never, ever seems to have the "proof" that the majority of his BS happens, yet there's proof that he's pushed false narratives, attempted to bully governors to "find votes" and to stall processes just because he doesn't agree with results, and infamously blames any and every possible political adversary for events in which they have no fault, not even connection?

There's examples of all of the above, and I've posted the links in some cases...from the most neutral sources I can find. You've seen this.

So, yeah, I utterly and laughingly dismiss any comment from you regarding my ethics, now or ever. You don't have the potential of any relevant position to do so, don't waste anyone's time.

The stupidest part of this is...it used to be simple: the dems were lying sacks of shit, the gop were obsolete and stuck decades in the past. Now, the dems are still lying sacks of shit BUT can play a fairly passive game by just letting all the ridiculous bombast come from their rivals, and the gop is cannibalized by the screaming liars and full-on sci-fi conspiracy morons vs some moderates being drowned out by the sensationalist stupidity.

Biden can just allocate money to roads, infrastructure, boost FEMA, etc, and keep making the dullard Dorito dishonest, while MTG and said Nacho Chip will find ways to sink lower in their own diarrhea, and Vance...who I'm starting to develop some sympathy for...joins Tulsi Gabbard in having those closed-eyed moments of deep breaths and winces when asked to explain their boss' latest pile of bovine excrement.

I'm wondering if he's honestly decided to throw the election, at this point, and/or spur a dumbass revolution.

how are your links unbiased when they are written with the same divisive and intentional derogatory language that you use here to stir the pot with your posts? you like to make accusations of others residing in echo chambers, but you are the first to get your panties all twisted up when somebody posts something from a source you dont agree with... which is exactly what an echo chamber resident would do. you dont like my sources or links or whatever... thats on you. you keep reading what makes you feel safe at night, and I will keep doing what I do, in the end none of it will matter anyway.

Let's break down the stacks of lies from the lying sacks, shall we?

MTG- "Of course they can control the weather!" No joke.
Sunkist sexual assault felon boi- "FEMA is withholding aid from Republicans!"
Elon "my cars never earned money, and now aren't selling" Musk- "they're blocking aid flights! (But check out the porn, now allowed on X!)
Russia/China- "EVERYTHING THEY SAID!!"

All, of course, supported by that lover of any "truth" that drags mourning parents through years of emotional torture, Alex "pure shit human being" Jones.

...they're not saying SHIT THIS STUPID. Anyone want to guess what happens when, as usual, orange-boi and/or his inner circle of idiot loyalists are pressed for actual proof?

We've seen this movie many, many times, now, but they've managed to add an even worse, more shamelessly shitty chapter. Disasters used to be a bipartisan priority, not a chance to lie more loudly.

Who can support this shit? How the hell can they do it? WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO?

I actually had to look up what MTG said since it doesn't seem to be a vast right wing conspiracy.   She's a handful...but so are a lot of them at BOTH extremes.

I have to laugh at the comment above Z.  It's like your closeted gay friend who refuses to acknowledge they're gay.  Maybe even tosses a "fag" slur every once in a while to keep people from knowing.  You do make comments about both parties but than you almost always go the extra mile to rail on the Republicans.  I know you were third party for quite a while...as am I.  Not sure why you don't just admit your views have changed. I've already said, I will vote for Trump this time around.  It's not even close on economy, security, etc.  They are both babbling messes so it's not like Trump's is any worse than Kamala's and contrary to your belief...they both lie..as do all politicians.  Being in a swing state, I'm really left with no choice.  The MSM will try to protect her.  They helped a senile old man get elected from his basement.

FEMA was caught flat footed on the disaster relief in Georgia and North Carolina as were the State and local governments.  Florida seems to have it down to a science these days...as an unfortunate result of their location in Hurricane Alley.  Resources have been slow to materialize and 11 days after, they are still finding a large number of survivors and victims.  As with all Hurricanes, it's easy to find people with heart wrenching stories ready to complain about the lack of support.  I don't know of anyone that has said that $750 was the only payout coming from FEMA.  It's simply not a lot if you've lost everything and must now wade through a lot of government infrastructure when you don't have access to the bare essentials.

FEMA hasn't done themselves any good in all of this.  Between Mayorkas claiming that FEMA is running out of relief funds to publishing their list of objectives:

Goal 1 - Instill Equity as a Foundation of Emergency Management
Goal 2 - Lead Whole of Community in Climate Resilience
Goal 3 - Promote and Sustain a Ready FEMA and Prepared Nation

Equity and Climate Propaganda are more important that Emergency preparedness?

Than you have the FEMA Director playing victim for questioning FEMA

You also have Dem strategist David Axelrod who thought the hurricane would be good for the Democrats in the swing state of North Carolina as the sophisticated liberal base in Asheville would find a way to vote versus the Appalachian hillbillies who vote for Trump.

Stupid shit on all sides.  Get those people the help they need.  Is it lost on anyone that one of the largest airborne construction brigades in the World is based at Ft Liberty (Bragg).  Not sure why we didn't mobilize them immediately to clear some roads and save some people.

OK, I guess I'll repeat what I've said here many times:

1. I've been tired of "the Donald" for decades, seen him as a lying, narcissist assclown since Bush Sr. was president, so yes...he does have more currency built in my vitriol account. The fact that he also is a divisive, lying shitbag as a politician adds to the pile.

I've said, plainly, that I hate him more, and I hate what he did to my former party. Is that clear enough, or...are the words too big? I've been pretty clear.

2.  I've also said that I have NO party at this time, repeatedly, because both "main" treason clubs have created our deficit, our divides, our echo chamber media situation, and (again, I've repeated ad nauseum), I can't fathom support for either. I genuinely don't understand hating America that much, yet living here.

I've ripped on dem border disasters and law enforcement failures a ton, because they're happening all around me, all down the coast, and it ties in with their hypocrisy and their "optics above all else" (which I've been clear about), so...dude, you're cherry picking what you choose to remember at this point. Happily, your opinion is just more digital piss in the wind, self-righteous BS notwithstanding. You're choosing to intentionally support lying a lying shitbag for executing power, a full-on snarling goon facing yet more felony charges AND abuse of power charges who's basically promised to spend his first year getting petulant revenge on anyone who opposed him.

I guess some people really wanted snarling monarchy back, or something. I'm an American, and don't.

I won't defend dem positions, because...I'm not one of them. It'll all be optics, it'll all be about strategy over substance, it'll all be about how it plays in the press, not how it works on the ground. Sadly, the gop has decided that an "angry lying, gutless sack of shit with lackeys shrieking about space lasers and weather control" is a better platform.

Both deserve to fail. Roughly 75 million traitors will outvote 70 million traitors and damage the country further this November...

...unless, orange boi loses again, spurs a bigger loser uprising, and basks in camera glows as Americans assault and kill other Americans more than last time.

Just like any media-loving democrat would.

On the topic (looks at header, yep, still there) of "OUTRAGE":

here's our representatives that didn't want to give more money to FEMA!

Apply outrage as needed.

Remember: OUTRAGE! Seriously, there should be some.

The irony is how many are in the areas most afflicted, and who will be bad-mouthing every nanosecond of delay in federal response.

It used to be the dnc that were masters of hypocrisy...but this generation of the gop is broken, and maybe it's not just "the Donald" trying to throw November.

So...let me see if I have this right. We're talking about those that voted no to supplemental FEMA funding back in September....on a bill that passed the House and the Senate overwhelmingly? Newsweek feels a need to waste pages and pages listing all that voted against. Here's the first question that I would ask "What uptick in disaster relief precipitated this need? Seems to me it's been pretty calm on the Disaster front until these recent Hurricanes. The answer? FEMA reallocated funds to illegal migrants. So...you give FEMA money for disaster relief which they reallocate to other unintended needs and than come back to the well looking for more money. That's like giving a crack addict money for rent and food and they spend it on drugs...and than shame you for not helping them out for food and shelter. I thought you were the always demanding the truth Z. This seems to indicate the truth doesn't matter.

I guess I'd point out the very obvious truth that the hurricane season, not exactly surprising in its timing if horrifying in its intensity, was still coming, and that it's the truth that said season tends to be in the same rough period in general.

You like to try to speak for my state of mind a lot, despite never meeting me, or sitting across a table from me in a real discussion, so I can assume that you're projecting a strong desire to push your dishonesty onto others; as such, it shows both full opposition to critical thinking and full-on kinship with Trumpism.

On brand!

My bad, too much multi-tasking, a few more points:

1. Look up FEMA's "Disaster Relief" vs "Shelter and Services" funds, and see just how much more misinformation is coming from the usual shitheads, then being repeated here!

2. For all the horrific failures on the border by the current administration, and the failure to admit/address just that by Kamala the other night (shocker!), only congress can actually fix immigration...and in one of his ultimate spineless, anti-American, "f*ck the country, it's all about ME" moves, the Jaundiced Jesus worked to torpedo what could have been a very improved immigration bill earlier this year. Considering how many typically pro-right groups supported it, and the levels of lackeys that suddenly sprayed dumbassery about it after he got involved, it showed what the attentive already knew about him.

3. Given that Trumplestilskin has found ways to lie/distort throughout the entire hurricane tragedy (and I'm sure the shithead will keep the streak alive), and that the actual facts are so easily found at, y'know, the sources he sprays his vitriol at...between all the new lies, the old lies, the felonies, the sexual assaults, the abuses of power, and his closest political women either being catastrophic comedies or full-on psychiatric curiosities...

...how is there support? Hatred for the dnc, I get, but support for that much dishonesty, insanity, and 5-star venom? What's the allure? I genuinely can't understand it, more bizarre than 2016/20.
