Best head coach winning records (so far)

I thought this was intriguing.
Of course it's hard to top Bud Grant, but with the current regime, I think we are in the midst of something historic and possibly profound?

Regular Season win/loss - % (including playoffs - %)

Bud Grant 243-151  632% (617%)
Kevin O'Connell 25-15  625% (609%)
Dennis Green 159-97 610% (591%)
Mike Zimmer 129-72  562% (556%)
Jerry Burns  95-52   547% (545%)
Brad Childress  74-39  527% (519%)
Mike Tice  65-32  492% (492%)
Bud Grant-1985  7-9  438% (438%)
Leslie Frazier  21-32 398%  (391%)
Norm Van Brocklin 29-51%  369% (369%)
Les Steckel  3-13  188% (188%)

If you count Bud's total body of work including his 7-9 comeback record...this winning percentage drops to .610. We'll see how KOC can sustain the winning percentage over a much larger timeframe.

I broke out his 1985 season separately above.  I remember that season...trying to rebuild what Les Steckel had destroyed the season prior.  That was tough duty.

Nice contract from Minnesota awaits KOC. My guess: $10-$11 million per year, 5 year contract.

Still such a bummer that Denny does not have an asterisk next to his for Super Bowl winner as he had the team in position to do it in 98.
