Lots more to play out this year, but I've seen enough to pay the man and keep him in the fold for a long time.

It's time to extend him. Locking up Flores would be awesome, as would extending KAM.

He's the dude that's going to get us the trophy. He's going to have his QB and then watch out: whether its McCarthy (which I believe is the road forward) or Darnold (Ginger Jesus). This is an offensive league and you need the next young 'genius' head coach. You give him a Flores D, and its the real deal. Just take a second and think about how nuts it is what he's doing with Darnold. This was a guy who said he was 'seeing ghosts' on the football field with the Jets, to this strapping, gunslinger dude who is slinging the rock, going through progressions, a captain on the team and leads the NFL in TD passes. Its like some movie, because its not very believable otherwise. But they are doing it. THEY.
0.0% chance this dude doesn't get a massive contract extension. The team is in excellent hands.
Ginger Jesus - Lmao.

Agree. We really struck gold with this one. He's not just a great culture guy, he's a great Xs and Os guy too. It's rare to have both. He's also a great communicator and is terrific in front of the camera. Among all the feathers in KAM's cap, KOC is probably the biggest.

Oh hell yah, and thats in spite of a great off-season this past year.
I can only hope that drafting JJM is thought of as highly 2-3 years down the road.

Sticky, I appreciate your enthusiasm and how you summarized and encapsulated what we all find hard to believe. Disbelief, yes, it's true, but I think you nailed it. KAM puts the pieces together, but KOC is the largest piece. You compliment his style with BFlo on D and voila! Yeah, disbelief.
I'll take it. I won't exhale until February, probably, but I promise to not get too high or too low. I'm just enjoying the ride.

The organization was targeting and rumored to be heavily interested in O'Connell before they ever hired KAM. In fact, some people wondered if they'd hire KOC first or KAM. Not sure I'd put this in the KAM pile, other than strictly as window dressing.

Interest is not a hire. They were interested in Harbaugh too. After KAM was hired there was a three-week period that included interviews with 4 candidates. It was from that pool that KOC was selected. To not give the guy who hired him credit for hiring him is just silly. If the coach had failed, you can bet the GM would've gotten the blame.

Yep, he hired him. But its not like he had to work very hard at it, did O'Connell even take another interview? lol, KOC wanted to come here and the Vikings wanted him: this existed before KAM was hired. Nothing silly about it. I'm glad they got it done. You know I'm not a KAM hater, so there's no agenda here. You want to give him a home run but he was already standing on 3rd base.
