RapSheet: Love will start against Minnesota Sunday
#1
Not surprised. Also heard they may have a few plays for Malik Willis to keep the Vikings on their toes. Bring the popcorn, should be a heavyweight bout.

So...rushing the starting QB back from an MCL sprain just in time to face an absolute rival that's leading the NFL in sacks...?

What could go wrong...?

I get the sentiment, but I would trust LaFleur to know if Love is able to move around much or not. I just dont think they'd risk it this early in the season if he was gimpy?

I'm on the fence, honestly. I think they want to stop our momentum pretty desperately, and they are riding high off of a couple of wins (granted, against also-rans), so they're feeling peppy going into a big cross-border game...I can understand all of that.

At the same time, players are notorious for playing with more emotion than sense, downplaying pain/injury, and hating the sidelines when their heart is all about playing the game. Love just got paid, likely feels some pressure to perform after the strong finish last year, and might be more bravado than brilliance.

We'll all know more by about 3:30 PM CST tomorrow.

No, they wouldn't play him if he's gimpy, but it will almost certainly limit his running ability.
