I think that's much closer to reality. Mayfield got 3 years, $100M, so $33M per. Sam would likely get a smidge more than that just because it's a year later, but the circumstances are remarkably similar. Vikings might try to keep it to 2 years bumping it up a little more. But if the Vikings plan to trade Sam at some point maybe the term doesn't really matter.

Regarding a big payday for SD - I understand the appeal of big money, but do you want to give up a great culture, coaches, players, scheme, for something more dysfunctional (like his first three teams?)
