Now one of the cops involved has been put on "administrative leave". Can't tell if that means this is going to be a whitewash or a scapegoating. Could go either way depending on what Hill was stopped for and/or how out of line the cops got.

Just as I suspected, he was arrested for reckless driving and cited and released on scene. Don't let his agent or the media blow smoke up your asses that this was just a simple "moving violation." He was pulled over for driving like a jackass, got mouthy with the cops upon being pulled over, and was put in handcuffs and arrested.

How does a situation get to the point of a guy being handcuffed for getting out of line with the officers... and he gets ticketed and released on site? if its to the point that he needed to be restrained, then there should be more than a moving violation on the books.

To the best of my knowledge reckless driving is a arrestable misdemeanor offense in most states, so he was arrestable immediately upon being pulled over. The fact that he got mouthy with the cops upon being pulled over likely solidified his position of being placed face down in handcuffs. The cops were more then accommodating releasing his ass on scene with a citation instead of hauling him to jail (which they could have done) and likely missing the game. None of this happens if not for the behavior of Hill first by driving recklessly and second by getting mouthy and uncooperative upon being pulled over. You won't hear any of that from the media though or Rosenhaus trying to spin it as a "simple moving violation."

So it was okay for them to have him on the ground with a knee in his back and then have another cop come over and kick him. If that was Dan Marino, regardless if he mouthed off, they would have taken pics with him and he would have been on his way. I have been through some of the worse gang areas in LA and have seen what cops deal with daily, so I am very pro police, however there are some bad seeds just as there are in every profession and it certainly seemed the actions here were influenced more than just a moving violation and some talking back.

Was there a kick? I didn't see one, but if there was...pretty sure it would have been the lead in the story, "Hill kicked by cops for moving violation." I didn't see anything to that effect and the media never misses an opportunity to stir the cops beat "innocent" black man narrative.

is there video? in this day and age its hard to believe something happened without video evidence.

There is a whole lot of video out there so I bet they are doing everything they can to get things sorted out. The handcuffs seemed excessive for reckless driving if it's just speeding

We may not know the real situation, but no reason to do what the police did.
Give him his ticket, tell him to drive responsibly, (respecting his, and the lives of others) - have a nice day.

DONE.

Was Hill late, pissed off, mouthy - probably...
Unfortunately "That's the job" for cops, don't escalate the situation.
