This is going to be a busy day of Vikings news. What we've got so far:

— T.J. Hockenson to reserve/PUP
— Gabriel Murphy joins Risner on short-term IR
— Jaquelin Roy will be among today's cuts

Hock, Murphy, and Risner will be eligible to return after four games.

The #Vikings are releasing RB Myles Gaskin, per

Can the Vikings use a 5-11, 235 lb bowling ball?

The #Broncos are expected to move on from respected 8-year veteran RB Samaje Perine, sources say. The team is engaged in a number of trade conversations around Perine and it could be a trade, rather than a release.

A numbers crunch in the RB room, so he’s available in a trade.

Vikings released veteran running back Myles Gaskin.

The #Vikings are waiving edge rusher Andre Carter II, source says. Former Army Black Knight had two sacks, one a strip sack, in the preseason finale against the #Eagles.

Not surprised.

Surprised about Gaskin as well.  Had some good blitz pickups and showed good hands, speed and vision in the reps I saw.  I suspect this means we pick up someone off todays cuts?  Jones, Chandler, Nwangwu, Ham...

What's with all the RBs getting cut? If you don't include CJ Ham, there are only two backs currently on our roster: Jones and Chandler.

What could Gaskin have done to make the team?

Me too.  I'm thinking they know of a cut taking place elsewhere and will claim someone.  Kene isn't really the threat he was with the new kickoff rules, and he's far from a complete player.
