I think we gotta keep Hall on the 53

No way would we lose Corral off the practice squad. He was a FA during preseason and showed nothing while on the Vikings roster. I question whether he will be on any practice squad. It's possible the Vikes put him on the practice squad, but I have my doubts.

Keep Hall. Last year we had to trade for Dobbs because Kirk and Mullens were both injured at the same time and the only active QB on the roster was Hall. And that was with 3 QBs on the 53. Having only 2 is putting yourself only 1 play away from having no backup QB. In addition, his last 2 games have looked good enough that I think someone would poach him if they try to sneak him to the PS.

Hall isnt going to PS and we aren't running with only 2 QBS.

I didn't think Hall played great, but he was serviceable. With JJM out all year, not sure why there'd be a doubt about keeping him.

Goodbye Matt, go back to the corral. It was nice watching you play like hot trash for two weeks.

Word is Hall suffered some kind of leg injury, might make a change necessary.

There isn't. I don't know why this is even a debate. If we keep 3 he'll be one of 'em. If we keep 2, he'll go on the practice squad. Sounds there is some concern he could get poached from the PS, but I don't think this is very likely.

Given how we went through four (FOUR! Remember that?) starting QB's last season, my sense is that Hall played serviceably well enough to not be parked on the PS. If for no other reason that he played serviceably enough to gain notice to other QB-deficient teams.

He will be one of the 53, and worst-case PS.

I think it depends on the reported leg injury. If it’s something that is going to linger or need surgery, they may shelve him. If he’s fine, he’s on the 53 and I don’t think it’s close. The kid has shown a jump in improvement and that he has the necessary skill set to stick around in the NFL. A move to the practice squad seems like a very bad idea to me and he won’t make it though the season on there.

Hall’s potential?

On the low end, I see a developing plus back up. TJack had a very long career fulfilling a similar role for teams. I do see a kid with the capability of developing into a starter. He reminds me of Jordan Love in regards to needing time when he was coming in. Love of course is a different player due to his youth and size, but from developmental standpoint, they seem similar to me.

KOC didnt seem to concerned about the leg yesterday when he was on the broadcast of the game with PA. Hopefully nothing more than a bruise.
