I want to see him in preseason, really find out who we drafted.

The QB that gets us to the Superbowl is going to be a hero. Think about the QBs that failed, Moon, Favre, Johnson, Kramer, Wilson, Cunningham, George, Culpepper, and the great Kirk Cousins.

I wouldn't count on preseason telling you much, especially with Darnold needing every rep he can get in the offense. JJM will be playing with and against scrubs. I'll just hope for no injuries. So if he looks great, its against scrubs. If he looks like crap, its because scrubs surround him.

I never bought into him, much, nor Booty, nor the "Law Firm"...any of our backups that some fans acted like were tragic losses.

But, if he's lined up against some real defenders in any of his plays, it'll be a better look than we've had so far.  Watching his college plays on YouTube means jacks**t at this level.

Hall pretty much looked like himself, both in preseason and in regular season play. I think there will be some cues worth witnessing in Darnold and JJM both.
