The Darnold

Darnold sure is a "doughy" 6-3, 225. Very little muscle definition. Maybe it's the number, but he looks a little like Brad Johnson in those clips.

It might be just the number. Brad seemed taller to me.

Man, the reality of KC being gone is sinking in now with OTA's.

The Samster showing off that big arm:

And don't forget about 'Major Juice':

I laughed when I read a few outlier online draft profiles saying McCarthy had an 'average arm', lol.

Interesting. Sounds like Bradbury could take over the pass protection adjustments from the QB this season. Cousins did that in the past, but Darnold and McCarthy have enough on their plates just learning the offense, which GB calls "not an easy system."

I keep coming back to Cousins admitting he wasn't fully comfortable in this offense until about week 8 his first year in it.

Well that's hardly a surprise, Darnold tends to melt under pressure.

The idea he's going to "mentor" JJM just makes me cringe though. Mentor him on stuff like where to drop your uni in the team laundry and leave the QB mentoring to the staff, please.

I think the Darnold could give him advise about maybe some rookie pitfalls, things he'd wish he'd known, etc. As far as mentoring on what it takes to succeed in the NFL, no.....but it doesn't mean he couldn't be a positive influence. Darnold is playing for his next team anyway, one and done.
