Tennessee and pick #7
#1
Thinking more and more of team needs and possible alliances today.
Today I’m stuck thinking the Titans have the worst offensive line in football and the draft really seems to be shaping up with a lot of first round tackles.  With us having 11 and 23, in a trade for 7, we could certainly be in range for McCarthy or another QB that falls there.
We have the edge on a trade with them over Denver, not only because they could realistically get a Fuagua and JPJ or Barton with those 2 picks, but also Denver is in the same conference with them.
Those 3 WR’s are going to be tough to pass over in the 4, 5, and 6 range. So long story shorter, I am liking our chances to make it to 7 and a deal with the Titans. This might even return a 3rd or 4 th rounder to us to try to fill some depth and best of all we keep next years #1.
Thoughts?

Maybe....Depends how the board falls.

Chances are you'd get Penix or Nix @ 7. But not Maye or McCarthy.

But you may not get any; if the QB's go top 3, Giants take a QB + AZ & Chargers both trade out to QB needy teams.

Unlikely, but possible.

Denver just gave up a ton for Wilson a few years ago.. think they will part with more first round picks on hoping the next QB pans out?

Sean Payton is desperate and knows he will just quit if the new qb sucks. He doesn't care about future draft picks.

Giants have 30th ranked OL. Jets 29th. This could be stacking up well for us.

Put together a quick mock if this worked out. Picked up Titans 4th and 1st for 11 and 23.

Nice safe draft. I don’t think 7th will do it for us to get one of the so called “top” qbs. There are the known QB teams and then there are those that will surprise on draft day. I have never been this nervous/impatient/excited about a draft and I don’t even know how to evaluate players

Yeah no one here can truly evaluate players. Just trying read the tea leaves.  Titans may not value the 2 picks over Joe Alt at 7, who most likely will fall to them.  MHJ and the kid from LSU are going in the top 6 I would think are guaranteed. I also don’t think the giants will go Qb. I don’t think cards will pass on a wr unless broncos go crazy with compensation.
Bears certainly are a trade out almost 100% at 9, but there are some damn fine OT’s available as is Brock Bowers.  If we don’t get up to 8 at least I don’t see a chance for McCarthy. I think best case scenario is we get to 8 with McCarthy there and get a 3rd back for our 2 1sts and get a G or C to compete inside.
