Todays CBS Mock 2/14
#11
Corner may be a need but if they get guys on the edge or defensive line that can actually create pressure it will improve the secondary.  They could draft an all world corner at #11 but if the quarterback has all day and more doesn't matter how good the corners are receivers will eventually find an opening.

Corner is probably 4th on my list after Edge, DT, and QB. But it is 4th. And depending on what the Vikings do in free agency, some of those other needs might fall.

We'd need to sign Hunter AND Wonnum for Edge to be eliminated. Even then, I'd draft one over CB. Wonnum had a good year, but was this an outlier or a sign of things to come? Plus, the value at edge is super high where we pick. There are three stud edges who have solid value at 11.

We'd have to sign a 1st-tier DT for that position to be eliminated. And Cousins would have to sign a 3-year deal for that position to go. All of the above are very unlikely IMO.
I like your thoughts here.

Exactly my thoughts. We’d have to see a lot of things happen between now and then to even think about a corner.

With that said, I do consider Terrion Arnold an absolute stud and I expect he’ll be great at the next level.

I haven't watched him yet, but I know DJ's really high on him. Quinyon Mitchell looked great in Mobile, and I think both he and Arnold could go before some of the more hyped corners like Wiggins, DeJean and Kool-Aid.

Joel Klatt's first mock gives the Vikings....  ah forget the drumroll of course it's a CB.  Terrion Arnold.  At least Klatt called him the consensus best CB in the draft.  But I'll still be PO'd if we don't take a real swing at QB rather than another Day 3 prayer.

me too

IF they lose Cousins? A QB high in the draft is just a must have.
